She looked at her, glaring non-stop, giving her a warning.
"What did you say?"
She looked up, her soft hair falling down her shoulders swiftly.
"Choice," she answered calmly and gaily.
She shook her head slightly and shut her eyes tightly, letting her eyes to rest and to think deeply about the word.
"I don't have that…" she said quietly and sullenly. "How can you be so…calm and peaceful?"
She looked back up again, her eyelids flapping open.
"You mean, 'serene'?" her soft, smoothing and dulcet voice raised high by the end of her sentence.
"Yeah…you are so friendly and understanding."
"Believe me, the real me, I'm not like that. I was so sullen, forlorn, so, malicious," she suddenly started making an important and sedate speech.
She listened.
But she came back to the real world and simpered.
"It's silly. You don't need to listen."
'But I am listening. I'm willing to open my ears and to accept her pain.'
"I am listening, now. Tell me, tell me everything."
"No, it's nothing. It's just, silly," she replied aimlessly and quietly.
Her temper grew. The stab was poking into her empty stomach again.
"No, please, tell me," she gave her an assuring stare.
She gave me a sour look, her beautiful smile hiding under her pink lips.
"Back then, I thought I didn't have a choice. But I do. Choice is really important, without it, you might not even exist. Because it's this really, really valuable thing where you have options, your freedom to do things. It's such an honorable thing to have, Ginny, it really is. My parents expect the greatest of me. So I have to force myself. The only thing that's blocking it, it's just fear. You can fight fear; you can destroy your fears. You can be gallant and face them, really understand them and study your fears. My parents gave me threats, frightening me that I have to do it, but really, you don't. You can choose to do it, or not to. And right now, I'm making this, vast decision…, this choice," she explained, her expression full of vehemence.
'I gazed at her reverently, amazed and dazed.'
"What is it?" she asked comfortingly and admiringly.
"This choice where I should ever tell you something…" She studied her hands on her laps, muttering dreamingly.
"Tell me …what?" her best friend asked curiously and seriously, leaning more closely to the brunette's face.
"Tell you that, I love you."
The fire cracked exactly at that second. Ginny widened her eyes, her heart pounding faster by every minute. Warmth and great wave of jubilant washed over her body, a huge and relieved smile printed on her smooth face.
Then finally, she saw it. She saw a true, real, happy smile on Hermione's pale and exhausted face. Then another choice and decision came up in her mind.
'Should I just act shock, or just tell her back that I love her and start making-out with her? I'll just choose the second option. This will be my hardest and easiest choice…"
Hope you liked it guys, hope you enjoyed it.
