Halo Jump To Hell

"Are you sure your up to this mission?" asked Pete, my mission colonel, "You can abandon it!"

"I'm fine." I replied as I was loading my AK. We were in a stealth aeroplane flying over Russia. It was a dark, cold night, which made us invisible.

"Right! Halo jump in five!" cried the captain, barely audible over the roar of the engine. I took a deep breath and slipped on my oxygen mask. "Wait for the green light!"

Pete got up and walked over to me, he was smiling.

"Good luck. But you do know; if you miss... you're an idiot!" he started laughing.

"No need to worry... I won't." he stopped laughing and nodded.

Just as he finished nodding the light flicked green and the ramp slowly lowered. Suddenly the minus zero wind burst in and I walked toward the back, the wind slowing me down. I finally reached the edge, leaned over and fell...

I was thrown into a swirling vortex of air. Spinning and spinning. No control. Just gravity and air pulling me down to the sphere where I was headed. Earth.
