Sometimes Hermione had great ideas and sometimes they just weren't as good as she thought they'd be. Like the one she was anxious to try one hot summers' day at the Burrow. She'd told Ginny, Harry and Ron to meet her up the top of the hill, that she had a surprise for them and when the twins had heard that they had had to come too.
As she climbed up the hill to meet them she saw Bill and Fleur by a tree, sitting and chatting and she wondered what they were discussing then decided she didn't want to know. Although she was glad that because Voldemort had been defeated they hadn't rushed and got married she wished they'd just break up completely, she couldn't stand Fleur.
'So what's the big surprise?' Chuckled Fred.
'It wouldn't be a surprise if you didn't wait,' Hermione told them and slowly she pulled a silver watch out of her backpack.
'Hermione?' Asked Ron, 'You brought us all the way up here with so much suspense just to see a watch?'
'It's not just a watch!' Hermione growled, 'It's a time and galaxy teleporter, it took me ages to find this but I did, I bought it just a week ago.'
'Sure you can travel through time and galaxies with it,' laughed George, 'And I'm a fairy!'
Slowly and quickly Hermione cast a silent spell on George causing him to turn into a fairy and then she said, 'You look like a fairy to me!' And everyone in the group laughed even George. 'So,' Hermione continued, 'If you use this thing I think it doesn't take up any time from where you left at all so I'm going to go explore others worlds and times and stuff if you guys are with me?'
'If we do go though, we'll end up in the same place? Won't we?' Questioned Harry.
'Err... On the label it says that you will always end up in the same time and the same galaxy but it doesn't say anywhere about the same place but I think it most likely will.'
'Most likely will? That's not very convincing!' Laughed Fred.
'So you're going to chicken out?' Hermione said in a strong voice.
'Nope, I'm in,' muttered Fred.
'If he is, I am,' George made clear.
'Harry?' Asked Hermione.
'For sure.'
'Me too,' agreed Ron.
'And Ginny?' Questioned Hermione.
'Definately!'
So Hermione put the watch on her wrist and began to fiddle with the buttons on the side.
'Ooops, I think I've done it too many times,' she said, 'I was going to do less but it shouldn't matter. Now simply touch the watch on the count of three. One, two, three!'
All of a sudden Hermione could feel herself spinning very fast and she began to feel sick so she held her stomach. As she did that she saw off by the tree Fleur and Bill were spinning as well as all those that had touched the watch. How many people was it going to transport? Why had she brought them all into this? Why hadn't she gone alone? Just as she had started to start thinking hard she stopped spinning and she fell onto the floor hard, where was she? And where was everyone else?
