The Mind's Eye
Disclaimer: I do not, unfortunately, own anything from SMK. I just took them out for play while I should have been paying attention in class. Oh well…

It's a nice day out there, he thought as he fought to say awake in spite of the gentle whirr of the fans and the drone of his teacher's voice. He wasn't quite sure what was being said and had been lost in his own thoughts for quite a while now. His mind wandered to the pictures he needed to pick up from the photo lab, specifically the one he had taken of his mom and Lee during last weekends camping trip. It had been the first one that Lee had joined them on. He had been on his way to the latrine late at night when he saw them. They were peacefully sleeping cuddled in each others arms as if they had fallen asleep while talking thinking everyone else had long gone to bed. The trip to the bathroom was quickly forgotten as he ran back to his tent to get his camera. His thoughts dwelled on the picture he planned to frame and give to Lee for Lee's upcoming birthday. As he stared at the picture in his mind, he noticed a gleam of light on his mom's left hand. A sudden "Oh my gosh!" escaped his lips.
