Ages ago, or so the stories
tell, the power of Alchemy
ruled over the world of
Weyard.
Alchemy wrought the base
elements of humanity
into thriving civilizations,
like lead into gold.
But in time, man's dreams
gave birth to untold strife.
Dreams of endless riches,
of eternal life, of dominion
over all that lived... Dreams
of conquest and of war.
Those dreams would have
torn the world apart if not
for a few brave and wise
men, who sealed away the
power of Alchemy deep in
Mt. Aleph's Sol Sanctum.
Prologue from Book One
The town of Vale guarded
the secret for many years,
until Isaac and Jenna,
whose parents had died in a
storm 3 years before,
disturbed the sanctum.
Saturos and Menardi, of the
Mars clan, followed them
into the sanctum. With them
traveled Jenna's brother,
Felix, thought lost
in that same tragic storm.
Saturos and Menardi stole
the Elemental Stars, the
keys to breaking the seal
on the power of Alchemy,
and kidnapped Jenna
and the scholar Kraden.
If these four jewels were
used to fire the elemental
lighthouses, the seal on
Alchemy would be broken.
Isaac and Garet set out
to stop Saturos, rescue
their friends, and return
the Elemental Stars to
their home in Sol Sanctum.
They banded together with
a young Wind Adept named
Ivan and pursued Saturos
and Menardi to Imil, a
winter-locked town near
Mercury Lighthouse.
There they met the guardian
of the lighthouse, a Water
Adept named Mia. With
her, they pursued Saturos
to the aerie high atop
Mercury Lighthouse.
Isaac was too late to
stop Saturos from lighting
the beacon and escaping.
Again Isaac chased him,
crossing Angara to the
shores of the Karagol Sea.
Taking passage on a troubled
ship, Isaac crossed
the Karagol to Tolbi. He
spoke to Tolbi's leader,
a strange man named Babi.
Babi entered Isaac in
Colosso as a test of his
powers. Isaac's Psynergy
won Colosso and earned him
Babi's trust. Babi revealed
a great secret to Isaac...
Thanks to a mystic draught
from the lost land of
Lemuria, Babi had lived
for 150 years! He offered
to help Isaac, who then
headed deep into Gondowan.
In the town of Lalivero,
Isaac learned that
Saturos and Menardi had
kidnapped a young girl
named Sheba, whom they
needed within the lighthouse.
Isaac fought and defeated
them atop the lighthouse,
but he was too late – the
beacon had already been lit.
A great cataclysm followed.
Sheba fell into the sea.
Felix jumped in to save
her, but both were lost in
the roiling waves. Jenna
left the lighthouse to find
them, but to no avail...
Isaac went to Lalivero,
where Babi asked him to find
Lemuria and the remaining
lighthouses. He gave Isaac
a Lemurian ship to make the
journey for the lost land.
Prologue from Book Two
Jenna traveled with Kraden
and Alex to the peninsula
of Idejima, where she had
agreed to meet the others.
When Venus Lighthouse
was lit the tremors ripped
Idejima from the mainland.
As it drifted out to sea, Alex
found Felix and Sheba
washed ashore.
Their reunion was cut
short by a massive tidal
wave, which shoved the
island into the eastern
continent of Indra.
Alex awoke first and left
to find a ship that could
take them to the remaining
lighthouses. Felix, following
him, discovered that the
boats of the nearby town
of Daila had been destroyed
by the tidal wave.
Crossing the treacherous
Dehkan Plateau, Felix
traveled to Madra, which
had also lost its ships.
There he met a Water
Adept named Piers, who
was jailed on suspicion
of being a Champa pirate.
In Alhafra Felix found that
the town's only remaining
boat had been sold to
Briggs, leader of the pirates.
After being defeated by
Felix, Briggs agreed to
clear Piers' name.
When he returned to Madra,
Felix discovered that Piers
had left to recover his black
orb, which was stolen by
the savage Kibombo.
They met up with Piers at
Gagomba, the Kibombo's
enormous idol, at the start
of a Kibombo ceremony.
Infiltrating the statue,
the four retrieved Piers'
jewel and befriended
Akafubu, the Kibombo's
witch doctor.
Now that he could use
Piers' ship, Felix was able
to explore the Great
Eastern Sea. He collected pieces
of an ancient trident
from towers around the
Great Eastern Sea.
With the pieces reforged,
he traveled to Lemuria, where
Piers lived. He spoke to Lunpa,
the righteous thief, and
King Hydros, who explained
the necessity of lighting
the remaining beacons.
Felix then journeyed to
the Great Western Sea,
where he found Jupiter
Lighthouse.
At the top he found that
Karst, Menardi's sister,
had set a trap for Isaac's
group. With Garet and
Mia caught, Karst and
her companion Agatio
battled Isaac and Ivan.
Felix went to help them,
earning enough of Isaac's
trust to be granted the Mars
Star.
Felix arrived at the
aerie and lit the beacon,
whereupon he and Karst
battled for control
of the Mars Star.
Returning to the nearby
town of Contigo, Felix and
Isaac reconciled their
differences and Isaac agreed
to help Felix light the Mars
Lighthouse.
Felix then found
that his ship had been
given the gift of flight.
Felix breached a wall
of ice and reached Prox,
where the people were
afraid because Karst
and Agatio had not yet
lit the lighthouse.
In the middle of the tower
Felix found Karst and Agatio,
turned into dragons and
trapped in ice. After a
fierce battle, Agatio
relinquished the Star.
Felix ascended to the aerie,
where the Wise One,
guardian of Sol Sanctum,
attempted to stop him
from lighting the beacon.
Because it was forbidden
from interfering in the
actions of humanity, the
Wise One summoned a
three-headed dragon,
actually Felix's parents
and Isaac's father, to be
certain of their dedication.
Once slain, the dragon's
heads reverted to their
human shape. Despite the
best efforts of Mia and
Piers, the parents could
not be revived.
Felix finally cast in the
Mars Star. The beacon
revitalized the Valeans
enough for the healers in
Prox to help them.
As the light from the
lighthouses collected over
Mt. Aleph, it shone on
Alex, who had studied
the result of the lighting.
He had come to claim the
Golden Sun, which would
give him infinite power.
However, the Wise One
informed him that it had
imbued Isaac with a portion
of the Golden Sun's power.
Alex was then drawn into
the heart of Weyard
along with the mountain.
Felix's group returned
home to find that Vale
had been destroyed,
although all its citizens
had survived. They soon
began to rebuild.
This chapter of our story
begins with Alex, just
after Mt. Aleph's collapse...
