A/N: Hey readers, here is a story that goes along with the song "The Reason" by Hoobastank. I;m so sorry but this is really shortbutIthought why not post it.I can't put the song but that's okay we don't really need them the song just inspired me to write this. Just to let you know in this story Harry is referring to Mr. and Mrs.Weasley as Mum and Dad. Well here it is.

Summary: Ginny gets frustrated with Harry trying to pull away so they talk. HP/GW One-shot.

Reason

"Ginny, please!"

"Harry, I'm sorry but I don't think I can take it anymore." She continued toward the girls dormitory, tears slowly falling.

He grabbed her arm and brought her into a tight embrace.

"I promise you on Wizard's honor I will try my best to quit pushing you away. I was trying yo protect you but now I see how much it is hurting, not just you but Ron, Hermione, Mum, Dad, Remus, everyone I get close to." He pulled back slightly to look into her face. Tears were falling freely now, he gently wiped them with his thumbs.

"Harry..."

"No, I need you to hear this. Voldemort could start this was at any moment and I don't want to be on bad terms with you if one of us doesn't make it through it." Harry tried to convince Ginny not to fight but simply refused and with the stubbornness of her mother he knew she wouldn't back down.

She gave a small nod signaling for him to continue.

"After today, the way I made you feel, I can't push my family away any more. Ginny I need you more than anything in the muggle or wizarding worlds. You're the reason I want to change, I need to change." Harry lead her to a chair by the fire and sat her in his lap, hugging her closely.

"If I could take all the pain I caused you or anyone else did I would without a second thought.," He whispered in her ear , his chin on her shoulder, "Seeing you cry or hurt, pains me knowing that I did that to you."

He put his hands on her cheeks and brought her face to his, stealing a quick kiss.

"Ginevra Weasley, I love you and I don't want to loose you."

Oh Harry, I love you too!" she gave him a deep kiss.

"So I guess this means we're good?" he asked with a smirk.

"Yes, you prat," she giggled.

They continued to sit enjoying the warmth of the fire, Ginny now crying for a different, better reason.

A/N well r & r. :)
