"Hullo, Crabbe. How was your day?"

Crabbe flopped onto a chair. "It was fine. How about yours, Harry?"

Harry groaned. "Oh, it was HORRIBLE! First, I woke up to find myself thirty minutes late to potions. Then, once I got there, had about fifty points docked, and started stirring my cauldron, I realized I'd put on unmatching socks. To add salt to the wound, Malfoy noticed as well, and decided to rub it in for the rest of class. I damn near dumped my cauldron on his head."

A pause, and then Harry cackled evilly. "I really should've done it. Can you imagine how he would look bald?"

Deciding to squelch Harry's plans for revenge, Crabbe quickly changed the subject. "And after Potions?"

"After Potions, I dragged my feet all the way up to the North Tower, where Trelawny was waiting with new ways for me to die."

A snort. "Big suprise there."

"Oh, just wait till you hear it. She said that I was going to be bitten by a rabid kitten."

"Lemme guess: She knew full well that you had Transfiguration after that?"

"Right in one. Anyways, I had to deal with her death predictions, Ron's sniggering, and more comments on my socks. Merlin, I was about ready to kill someone!"

"And in transfiguration."

Harry gave him a blank look. "I got bitten by a rabid kitten."

Crabbe's eyebrows shot up to his hairline. "So that would be why you missed lunch and the rest of the day."

"Indeed. I spent that time being forcefed chocolate and nasty potions by Pomfrey. Did you know chocolate's supoosed to be a cure-all? Oh, how I'd love to stick that chocolate up her ass..."

Harry trailed off, glaring at a spot somewhere beyond Crabbe's shoulder.

There was silence for a full forty-seven seconds.

"And now?"

Harry started, glancing at Crabbe. "Now what?"

A shrug. "How do you feel right now?"

Harry grinned. "I feel like I'm in severe need of a game of exploding snap. You game?"

Crabbe already had the cards out. "Of course."
