Chapter One: Worlds Colliding.
Christine Mc.Kalin stared at her computer screen.
So, if I put that with that and combine the two fuses with the rod, then it should work!
She smirked at that thought. It would finally be complete! Finally she would be able communicate to her friends through their Game Boys! Forget cell phones! They charge too much for minutes anyway.
Now to put the satellite on the roof!
She looked out the window. It was a clear night and the stars shone brightly against the black sky.
Perfect.
Christine pulled her long brown hair back into a messy pony tail, and slipped on some tennis shoes.
She snatched the satellite and tucked it under her arm, then it was through the window, up the twisted tree branches that were conveniently lingering in front of her room window, and on top the roof..
Christine carefully stepped to the center. She looked up. Clouds were starting to roll in.
She had to hurry.
How could a storm come about that quick?
She positioned the satellite.
Boom! Christine heard thunder off in the distance.
She turned to go back to safety.
" Ahhhhhh!" Her foot slipped on a loose shingle, she grabbed on to the satellite for dear life.
The thunder grew closer.
" Help!" She screamed, on the hopes someone would save her.
Then there was a flash, a crash, and a shock.
Everything went black.
