The moment the earth shook under his feet, Eiri Yuki had no other concern but how his lover could possibly fare through. Even as he got caught and hurled and slammed against the wall over and over by the injurious commotion that broke out at the onset of the event, he never did give up on his attempt to save his little brat from the falling debris that was heavily pelting the stage.
"Shuichi!"
It was the last he could remember of that fateful night. The next thing he knew, he was opening his eyes to the warm specks of sunlight dappling his face… And to that blissfully familiar voice telling him to get up.
"It's time to go, Yuki."
He looked up and saw his lover smiling down at him, seemingly unaffected by the recent devastation. "Shu…"
The pink-haired youth offered one hand and helped him to his feet. "It's time to go."
"Go where?"
"Home."
Yuki could not help smiling despite himself. So it was all just a terrible nightmare after all.
Hand in hand, they turned away from the rubbles… Away from their own mangled bodies being pulled out of the fallen structure among many others.
