Aragorn sighed. For an Elf with impeccable eyesight, Legolas was taking quite a long time to take note of what direction the Uruk-hai were going. This made the mortal doubt if Elves had the eyesight that they boasted about.

From the day I found Glorfindel's contact lens case, I knew they were just as 'blind' as us mortals!

"Legolas." He sighed. "You're wasting time! Now do you see anything or not?"

The blond prince squinted. "Uh, not yet," he said, focusing on the northeast.

Groans could be heard from both Aragorn and Gimli. Precious time had already been wasted while they were standing about, waiting for the 'eyes' of the three to figure out where those bloody Uruks were.

"Oh!" Legolas said triumphantly. Aragorn raised his head and asked what he saw.

"Wait…no, sorry. That was just some rocks. But they were…moving…"

"Come on laddie, is your eyesight that poor?" said Gimli exasperatedly. There was little patience to begin with, especially when dealing with Legolas himself, and now that patience had just run out.

"No!" said the prince of Mirkwood, defensively. "It's just horribly bright out today."

Harmph! Bright! What a poor excuse…Elves…you can almost compare them to the stupidity of some hobbits!

Aragorn thought many cheerless things concerning the fate of the hobbits as Legolas the Telescope struggled to identify the moving blob of black (the blob he hadn't told anyone about yet, of course, he wanted to take his time).

"Legolas… do you see anything at all or not?"

"Wait…wait! The Uruks have turned to the northeast! They are taking the hobbits to Isengard!" Legolas announced with glee after Aragorn pestered him once more about what was going on.

"Great!" said Gimli impatiently. "Lets go and get 'em!" And ran off after the Elf.

But Aragorn stood there, confused, as the other two started off to the northeast.

"Wait!" He called after them. "I thought Isengard was to the northwest!"

A/N: 'tis a sad little thing…the screen writers of The Two Towers must be horribly irre-directional…
