Jumpy in the Jagds

Disclaimer: I don not own FFTA. But I do own a cartridge.

Summary: Ritz, Shara, a ninja named Macgregor, an assassin called Delia, an alchemist called Jang and a absolute wacko gunner known as Sandath have various missions all over Ivalice. But when it's time to go to the Jagds…they all get very panicky…

Chapter 1

"Shara, get up! We have to get to Lutia Pass before the mission expires!" Ritz was in a panic…they had to get to Lutia Pass and beat the newest clan, Clan Rain, before Huntmoon. Ritz paid 7000 gil to get that mission and she was not sacrificing that cash.

"Ritz, go away!" said Shara groggily, turning over and reluctantly getting up.

Delia had been up first and had made all the necessary arrangements for herself. She had her bracers equipped, a ribbon placed carefully in her hair, her bow, the Max's Oathbow equipped, and her feather boots on. She was the resident assassin and she had mastered all the Cornering techniques available, even Ultima Masher. She had made a delicious breakfast of fried chocobo eggs with choco bread and some cups of tea. She was currently practicing her Spirit Magic, which she had also mastered everything.

"Jang," Delia said quietly. "Do you think that we can beat Clan Rain? I hear that they have an Ahriman on their team."

The clan's only nu mou nodded wisely. "Yes, Delia. They do have an Ahriman on their team. But I believe it is nothing that we cannot handle."

Sandath was prancing around the room, crazy and hyperactive from the sugar in the tea.

"Load your gun, Sandath!" ordered Ritz as she picked up his Outsider and handed it to him. "How many ability points do you need to have mastered Stopshot?"

Sandath stopped his random prancing and thought for a minute. "Forty, forty kupo, kupo!" he exclaimed happily.

"Good. I need forty to master Lunge Combo and I think I might become an archer. If I try hard enough, maybe I'll be up to assassin level in two weeks." Ritz rambled on to herself, not noticing that everyone else was ready to leave.

"We're here with time to spare," said Shara, glaring at Ritz as she thought of all the extra sleep she could have gotten.

"But you won't be here for long!" came a mysterious voice.

He came out of hiding. He was a human, and he was a fighter, or so it seemed.

"I am Ithcaron, the leader of Clan Rain!" he announced loudly. The other members of the clan came out of their hiding place. Of course, there was a fighter, a summoner, a thief, an ahriman and a dragoon.

"I am the leader of this clan! I engage you!" yelled Ritz. Shara tightened her grip on her bow, The SeventhHeaven. Delia, Jang and Sandath took their positions.

"Where is Macgregor?" asked Delia, scanning the surrounding area.

"We'll find him after," whispered Shara.

The Judge finally appeared.

"The laws are…" He yanked out a scroll out of nowhere and read: "Techniques, Summon and Haste!"

Ritz's clan grinned. Three people could not use special attacks, while only one of them was handicapped.

Ritz was the only one who was at a risk. Oh well. She was going to exercise some self-restraint if they were to win the battle and claim the prize…
