My first SK fiction ... ever. So, please be nice. ((although i would accept just about anything.))
It is supposed to be poetry, it's spilt up into Ren's thoughts and Horo's thoughts and then at the end their both thinking the same thing at the same time.I hope noone will get confused ... and if you do ... um ... enjoy thepoem anyway. .; neways ... on with the ... fic!

I was given the best gift ever,
This gift was called a friend.
We're at each other throats constantly,
But the fighting always comes to an end.
We left each other alone,
And I began to feel empty inside.
I wish I could just tell him,
But the words are held back by my pride.

We fought again today,
I can't remember what for.
But I only wish I could tell him,
Every time we fight I love him more.
I'm too afraid to tell him,
Too afraid he'll disagree.
Hell kick my ass and storm off in anger,
And then I'll know we were never meant to be.

I wish I didn't have to keep it inside,
That we really didn't have to fight.
But until then, we'll stay the same, just friends,
Or at least until the time is just right.
