The Portal
A young blue-haired girl waited outside of a grand building where the feast was being held. Because Kasumi was the cat, she was never invited to the New Year's Feast. She sadly looked at the moon and ran her fingers through her hair.
She could see people inside dancing and having a great time, while she sat of the roof of a nearby hut. This is how she spent New Year's every year since she was small. A small tear fell onto her braclet. She was always alone, not only because of she was parent-less, but also because of her true form. Oh how Kasumi wished it didn't have to be this way.
Just then, she saw an errie light in the woods. She hopped of the two-story roof and landed perfectly on her feet. Kasumi didn't know why, but she felt drawn to it, so she sprinted as fast as she could.
When she got there, the blue light was gleaming as bright as ever. She walked toward it, as if her legs couldn't control themselves. She walked into it, and everything went black.
Kasumi awoke in a tree on New Year's. She could tell by the large building, and smelling the animals of the zodiac, all but the cat.
" Must have been a dream. " she thought. But then, she was disproven. She smelled a cat, not a domestic cat, but one like her! Kasumi sprinted towards it and found herself at a large house that didn't look like a hut, it looked quite strange. She climbed up a tree and saw sad looking orange-haired boy. He smelled of cats, so it must've been him. He appeared like he was watching the feast from the rooftop. He saw her and got up and walked towards her. Kasumi thought he was mad she had disturbed him, so she ran. The boy eventually caught up with her and grabbed her by the wrist.
" Hey, are you ok? You're got scratches all over you. " the boy said.
" I'm fine. Who are you, and why do you smell of cats? " Kasumi asked.
" Names Kyo, and for the cat thing, my family has cats... " Kyo lied. " Why did you come to me? " Kyo asked.
" Can you keep a secret? " Kasumi asked.
" Yes. " Kyo said as he sat next to her.
" I'm the cat in the zodiac from 400 years ago, I came here through the time portal that opens up ever 200 years. When I am hugged by a member of the opposite gender, I turn into a blue cat. " Kasumi finished.
" A blue cat, eh? Well let me see something.. " said Kyo as he hugged her. He waited for the poof that usually followed, but it didn't come. She wasn't lying.
" Ughh, why do I feel so bad? " Kasumi moaned as she fell into Kyo's lap.
" I dunno, maybe you should come to my house. " Kyo said.
POOF!
A blue cat sat in Kyo's lap, it's limp body barley able to move.
" This is my cat form. " Kasumi weakly said.
" I'll carry you to my house. I never did catch your name. " Kyo said as he picked her up.
" Im Kasumi, Kasumi Sohma, also known as The Blue Cat. " Kasumi's mind was screaming for her to try to get away, but she was just too weak. She fell asleep in this strangers arms.
" The Blue Cat, huh? This sounds interesting... " Kyo thought as he began running home.
