Truly Happy

Tom Paris silently stepped into the darkened room of his daughter, Miral. Carefully stepping over each of the toys littering the room, he he made his way to the old fashioned rocking chair by his daughter's bed. He sat watching her sleeping form rise up and down, remenicing on his life. He was so amazed that this was his daughter. And better yet, that it was his and B'Elanna's daughter.

He remembered how their relationship was, only nine years before. She had absolutely despised him for as long as they had known each other. But the way that she had acted around him, only made him want her more.

Back then, of course, he was much different than he was today. He would of never thought of the prospect of being a father, much less getting married, because everyone knew, Ton Paris never got himself tied down to one woman.

But meeting B'Elanna had changed him. And even if he had dated other women, the only one he really wanted

was the fiery Chief Engineer. But, he knew he never stood a chance with her, right?

Tom was stirred out of his thoughts when his daughter began kicking her sheets viciously off her bed. He smiled,

she sure did have her Mother's temper. But he loved that about her. He pulled them back onto her and kissed her on her forehead ridges. He slowly retreated back to his room.

Smiling at his other resident Klingon's sleeping form, he snuggled down into the covers and closed his eyes.

He was truly happy.
