Summary: Rei is killed by Boris and now everyone is seeking revenge, but none more so then Kai and Rai. Only one problem, now that Rei is dead, who will the White Tiger chose as her new master?
His insides were tearing apart as he held the lifeless body to his chest, yes, they won, but at what cost? Burning eyes threatened to release tears as Kai clung to the body of the neko-jin. He wasn't breathing anymore, his heart didn't beat and it was all Boris' doing.
Kai buried his face in the long hair, the tears beginning to stream down his face. Why did it have to be Rei? Why had Biovolt ordered his death? The facts tore at Kai's heart as he stumbled towards the bed that Rei had just recently occupied as Takao's father wrapped bandages around his arm.
His body shook as tears spilled forward, and rested the beautiful boy on the bed. Gone. His love had been stolen from him, just like they had stolen his life. His crimson eyes burned with hatred and overwhelming pain but still he couldn't change the present.
Kai sank to the floor, his glance turning to the brother and sister pair of neko-jins, their hearts torn as his was.
"You promised we would hang out!" Mao's voice cracked as she dug her face into the chest of her friend. "You promised, Rei!" Tears spilled down her cheeks as she hugged his body. "Rei! You can't be dead! You can't be!"
Rai was sollen and forlorn as he stared at the body. How? That was all he could ask himself. How did Rei die so suddenly? How did his strong friend get sapped away like this?
Rai stood there, determined not to cry even though he felt like breaking down. Anger boiled just beneath the surface as his fists clenched. "Boris will die," he snarled.
Tears streamed down Kai's face finally, paying no mind to Rai's words as he pressed a short kiss to his lover's cold lips.
