To feel no pain

A soft faint yellow glow surrounded the room. Almost caressing the figure in black lying on the bed, bottle in hand. It stopped close to the head of the bed as it came together as the form of a beautiful young woman.
"Darling, I'm so sorry, I never meant to leave you like this." She stated softly not trying to wake the man.
"Why...why'd you leave me?" he asked groggily, while waking up slightly.
"I never meant to baby, you have to believe me." She stated while crying softly, tears running down her face. Her heart breaking again, over the memory of what happened. Or it would have broken if it could still beat.
"I know" said the man as he sat up, holding his bottle tightly.
"You know I can't be without you. I won't be!" he exclaimed while holding up the bottle.
"Baby, No! Please... You have a life to live. They all need you here." She pleaded with him trying to get him to reconsider. He looked at her and tried to place his hand on her cheek. Both sighing in frustration and sadness, as his hand passed through her face.
"But I need you more. You need me more." He stated flatly as he finished the rest of bottle's contents before she could dissuade him.
A tear welled up inside her and promptly fell, leaving an almost misty stain on the carpet. Her heart racing with sadness and almost happiness as his body fell back onto the bed growing stiffer by the second.
"Why... Why did you do it?" she asked staring at his now lifeless body.
"Because, I told you once before that death do us part wouldn't keep me away from you." She heard as his voice appeared from a dark gold light with heavy black undertones.
It then re-formed into the body of the man she knew and loved.
"Tommy…" she choked out, her eyes welling with tears as she hugged him to her body.
"Kira…I just couldn't live with out you. Please…understand why I had to do what I did." He said as he looked her in the eyes relishing her warmth again, surprised that she would still be warm.
"Tommy, just please….Kiss me." She pleaded before he leaned in and ensnared her lips with his in a passionate kiss. Soon they all but melded with the incoming sunlight, bringing the approaching dawn.
The last thought in her mind before they went away to a truly eternal bliss in the afterlife they deserved, was that it felt so good to be with him again.
It felt so good to be able to touch.
