The sun shone through the window's of Sanctuary.

'Guys, come over here, for a minute'

'What's up, Adam?'

'I'm picking up a mutant signal, maybe you should go and check it out'

'Are there any other signals?'

'No, just the one mutant, I'll send the co-ordinates'

'We're on our way'

Brennan said, and they all ran to a car.

'Where has he settled for now?'

'I'm sending the co-ordinates right now'

'Good'

They drove down the road. The laptop picked up the location and marked it.

'He's not moving'

Brennan looked at the screen before he turned a corner.

'Here, let's leave the car here'

He stopped and they got out. He locked the car and they ran behind an old building. They looked around until they found a hide-away. They ran into it to find crates, boxes and a fence. The only person was a boy. He turned around to face them.

'Who are you?'

He asked, nervously. Emma looked as though she could cry.

'This is the mutant?'

Brennan whispered to Jesse.

'We aren't going to hurt you, just relax'

Emma said. Then a ball formed in her forehead. It grew bigger and she shot it. They boy was hit in the face and he fell backwards.

'Let's get him back'

They walked over to him. They noticed that he had a bruise under his right eye and a cut on his neck.

'What happened to him?'

'I dunno, let's get him back to Adam, he'll figure it out'

They picked him up and carried him out to the car. They drove back to the lab and placed him on the table. Adam came in and the rest left. He came back out an hour or so later.

'How is he? Is he a mutant?'

'Yes, he is'

'What's he doing away from home?'

'I found bruises, cuts and scars all over his body, meaning that he was being abused, like Nikki'

'So, does that mean that he'll try to kill us, like Nikki?'

Adam scoffed and said.

'No, he won't'

'Why not?'

'They only person who can answer this question is Emma, what did you feel?'

'When I first saw him, what I felt wasn't what I expected, he wasn't angry, or he didn't want revenge, like Nikki, he was sad, like there wasn't any hope left, just a tragic sorrow, I can't explain how horrible it was, I just wanted to cry'

'What's his power?'

Adam sighed.

'Before I tell you, you should know, he was abused, he has powers, two of you are like him, Brennan, Shalimar, he's feral and electric'

'How can he be both?'

'He was one of Genomex's top secret, high experiments, to create one mutant, with two powers, and they succeeded. The only problem is, is who they gave the child to'

'Obviously not the right parents, if they did that to him'

'How bad were the beatings?'

'Horrible, almost all the time, even long after he past out, they'd still continue'

'How could he survive?'

'I don't know'

Just then the lights died out.

'What the hell?'

'The mutant, he escaped'

'Here, everyone take a communicator, we need to find him'

Adam passed everyone a microphone and they all attached them to their sleeves.

'Go, spread out'

It was pitch black so they needed flashlights, all but Shalimar.
