~The Prank~
It was a sight to behold. We waited for warmer weather before we would attempt it but it was a definite success. The Skull Kids did wonderfully. They supplied us with outfits like what they wore and that's how it began.
"Everyone ready?" I asked
"No doubt. Mido is never going to live this down," Dmitri said. I looked at the scar that had been left on Dmitri's arm and it made me sad.
"Okay. Mido will be going out to guard the Deku Tree right...about...now"
And right on the dot Mido strode out of his house. And that's when we ran over. His face filled with fear when I tackled him and Dmitri and Link tied him up and blindfolded him
"What are you doing?!" he yelled
"Gag him," I said in a raspy voice as to be unrecognizable.
Dmitri made sure it was nice and tight. I think he got some kind of vindictive pleasure. We carried Mido off to the Lost Woods and tied him to a tree stump where about five other Skull kids were waiting including Sam and Danu.
Three of the Skull kids danced around whooping while Mido whimpered. Then Sam and Danu pulled us off to the side and I lifted up my mask to talk
"What's the plan?" Danu asked
"Scare the hell out of him" Dmitri said
"Embarrass and humiliate him" I said
"Then let him walk back into town scared, embarrassed and humiliated" Link said with a smile
"Butt naked to seal the deal" Dmitri finished
"Embarrass how?" Sam asked
"Saira, the field is yours"
I pulled two vials of liquid. "This one will turn his skin red as his hair. Inspired by a previous prank by these two. And this one will make it last longer."
"How long?" Danu asked
"We'll just have to see," I said grinning broadly.
I brought out popcorn as we watched the Skull Kids scare the life out of Mido. We switched every while or so. He was crying after the first half hour and nearly started screaming when we removed the blindfold.
We forced him to do all kinds of things until finally we poured my potions into one of the forest ponds and pushed him in. It was hard to hold back my familiar laughs. When Mido came up I could barely tell where his hair ended and his face began. We dragged him out again, and then Link made Dmitri blindfold me as they stripped Mido. I didn't mind all that much since I had no desire to see him naked.
Dmitri picked me up and carried me while we marched Mido out to the village. The small village was now running to the scene of the whooping and cheering. I undid the blindfold wanting to see if Mido could get any redder. The Skull kids kept him marching around the village while we snuck into his house and made the biggest mess possible in the short time available.
Once we felt he was far from being forgiven but slightly closer we told the Skull kids to back off and we waited by his door. He was covering himself up and then wouldn't come near us.
I lifted up my mask and well what do you know. He could get redder. Link and Dmitri leaned on my shoulders and we were all smiling completely proud as everyone pointed and laughed at his naked red rear end.
"You!?" he yelled.
"He got better but payback's a b—"
"—itch" Dmitri finished for me.
Mido pushed past us and then we fell on the ground laughing so hard I had to grab my sides, especially when he yelled seeing his house in shambles. It could have been this event that kept Mido from ever trying to hurt Dmitri again but I think he would have done something sometime that would have resulted in this fate.
However, that night when I went to visit the Deku Tree, he was less enthusiastic about Mido's situation.
"Sairalinde, thou are better than that"
"Personally I don't care. Dmitri is my best friend and I wouldn't let some jerk like Mido get away with what he did. Dmitri could have been seriously hurt"
"I realize that but Mido is my responsibility not thou's"
"I should go"
"Promise me thou will think more next time"
"What does thought have to do with it? I knew exactly what I was doing" I responded
"Think about that and whether you really believe it"
