"I have not updated in forever!!!!! Time just isn't on my side. What with SATs, semester tests, AP tests, college apps, and still finding time to work and be social, I barely have time to keep up my stories. And this chapter is short too. I'm almost ashamed. : ) But not to worry. This summer I should have much more time to type and update and then everybody wins.

Oh before I forget, I don't know if anybody has gone to Fictionpress.com but I have recently posted two of my original works on there. It's under my same penname of Saira. One is a fantasy one with Faeries, Elves and Men, and the other is a requested book a friend asked me to write. Ok, well I'll let you get reading.

Saira"

-Tunnel-

The next morning I got up before my boys and set to making breakfast. I even bargained with Bonooru for some fruit and vegetables. Not long after I started, they staggered out looking tired and at a loss for words.

"Breakfast?"

Dmitri came over and kissed me on the cheeks meaning he was thoroughly grateful. Link plopped down beside me and I handed him a plate full of food. We all ate hungrily having forgotten to eat the night before because we were so tired.

"I want to check out those bits of land today" Link said after breakfast.

"Can we go fishing afterward?" Dmitri asked finally waking up.

"Sure. Saira, what are you looking at?"

"Huh? Oh, just that old building. I wonder what it was," I said

"We'll check it out later. C'mon, let's go"

We all walked to the bridge and went to the tiny spit of land where the bridge changed direction. There was a big tombstone on it. I walked behind as Link read it to himself. Unfortunately my foot sank in the dirt and I couldn't move.

"Uh, Link"

"What?"

"Help!"

I had started sinking faster until the dirt gave way and I began falling. I screamed all the way down landing with a thud at the bottom.

"Saira!" Link and Dmitri's heads appeared above me. "Oh goddess, are you okay?"

"Yeah" I groan. "Get me out of here"

"What's down there?" Dmitri asked curiously

"Uh, just get me out" As I looked around three huge Deku Scrubs were coming out of the ground and preparing to shoot.

"Why?"

"Deku Scrubs... big ones"

Link through down a rope I didn't even know he had, and they pulled me out just as the Scrubs started shooting at me.

"Why is it always me who falls?" I said as we made our way to the other side of the bridge. They just laughed. "Hey, I've seen one of these"

They hadn't noticed but we were standing on a hexagonal shaped stone platform with the Triforce in darker gray. A medallion was inside that on a darker gray.

"Yeah, so have I. What is it?" Dmitri asked

"It marks the location of a temple. You know the temples of the sages? There's the Forest, Water, Fire, Shadow, Spirit, and Light."

"Is there anything you don't know?" Dmitri asked

"No, but that part is common knowledge. What's that say Link?" I asked my brother who was on a bronze plaque.

"I don't know. It's old Hylian. Very few know it"

"'When water fills the lake, shoot for the morning light,'" I read

"How—"

"We just covered this. I know everything," I said

"I'm starting to believe it"

"This is boring, mate. Those old ruins are probably more interesting"

I dove in the water so gracefully it barely made a sound, and then I swam down. As I went deeper, the pressure was pressing against my ears but I kept going. I could hold my breath for a long time.

"Wow" I said with bubbles coming out of my mouth. It was the entrance to the Water Temple. I'd seen pictures but up close was much better. I went back up and link and Dmitri were looking frantically for me.

"Hey! Link! Dmitri!"

Link saw me and sighed with relief

"You're going to give me a heart attack," he said

"Nah. You just worry too much. Where could I possibly go? Think next time. Anyway jump in. You too Dmitri. I think you'll both like this"

I took another breath and went down for a look with the two of them. Link and Dmitri were gasping bubbles a few seconds later. We all went up for air. I could have stayed down longer but I knew they couldn't. They always needed more air than me.

"Wow. Wish we could get in" Link said

"Those bars are way too thick" Dmitri said.

"C'mon, maybe we can find something interesting at the ruins" I said. They headed for shore but I started swimming.

"Saira, what are you doing?" Link asked

"Going to the ruins. It's quicker"

Link, I knew, was too good of a brother and he swam with me and we both beat Dmitri who walked. I was panting by the time we got there and I lay on the shore letting the waves hit my feet. Link was beside me but less winded. Once I caught my breath, I jumped back in the water. As I went deeper, I found an entrance to a tunnel. I went back up and pushed myself back on shore.

"There's a tunnel down there," I said breathing hard.

"A tunnel?" Link asked

"Yeah, but it seemed pretty long and I doubt even I could get all the way through with a Zora scale"

"Huh?" they said together. They always did that when I said something intelligent.

"A scale of the Zora gives the possessor the ability to hold their breath longer."

"Ohhh"

"Okay, I'm spent" I said lying down on the cold wet shore. Link and Dmitri dragged me away from the water then Link lied next to me and Dmitri lied on top of me.

"So, does this mean we're not gonna go fishing?" Dmitri said

"We have plenty of time. Don't worry Dmitri," I said

I don't remember falling asleep but I was woken up by Link and Dmitri running at me cheering at the top of their lungs.

"Whoooo!"

"Saira!"

"Whuh?" I said

They skidded to a stop and sat by me. Then Link brought out a clear ball with a tiny gold scale inside.

"Where did you get that?" I asked

"Link caught a 25 pound fish and the guy running the place gave him that as a prize" Dmitri explained

"Oh, wow." I said

The next day Link and Dmitri slept in for a long time so I went to go see Mr. Ely, the old man we met our first day there. We talked potions for a long time then I mentioned the tunnel at the ruins.

"Is it long?" he asked

"Very"

"There's a plant at the bottom of the lake that will make it so you breathe underwater. It looks like this"

He showed me a picture of a plant where the leaves looked more like bubbles"

"Inside the pockets is a liquid that will create gills I believe," he said

"I'll have to try that" I said "Bye, Mr., Ely"

I left and Link and Dmitri were still sleeping. I decided to go find out about that plant. I changed first and headed to the spit of land above the temple. Now if I were Dmitri I'd climb the tree and jump in but I'm not that stupid. It was too far away from the edge. For me to jump I'd have to know I'd land in water. If I knew that I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I put my stuff by the shore and dove in. I swam through the cloud of bubbles created by my dive and kicked my legs toward the bottom. There were at least ten different types of plants and many were similar to the plant Mr. Ely mentioned. I grabbed several and pushed for the surface running out of air.

I threw the plants on shore and pulled out the book I kind of stole form Mr. Ely. I lined up the many plants then consulted the book.

"'The Gilia plant is found only at the bottom of Lake Hylia in Hyrule. It's relative is Gillyweed found in Earth in the Mediterranean Sea. The properties will make anyone who eats it grow gills temporarily so that they may breathe underwater. It can be identified against other plants in Hyrule by the shape of the surrounding leaves and the bluish color of the pouch holding the transformation liquid'"

I read all that then matched the picture to the plant. I threw the others back in then went to tell Link and Dmitri of my discovery.

I crept into their tent and as luck would have it, both of them were sleeping on their stomachs leaving our trademark sensitive backs vulnerable. I ran my finger up their backs and within seconds they were flailing around

I fell down in a fit of laughter. They looked at one another then went at me.

"Wait! I wont tell you what I found if you don't stop!"

They stopped and looked at me with puzzled expressions. Then I set off telling them about the Gilia plant.

"Do you think it'll work?" Link asked

"It should"

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Dmitri asked
