The next day we headed over the Impa's house with Link since he was the Hero of Time and all. It might help. I relayed what happened between Stu and Dmitri to Link so he was up to date on everything we were trying to accomplish. We knocked on the door to her rather enormous house and a skinny young lad answered the door.

"Can I help you?"

"Yeah, we'd like to speak to Impa" I said politely

"Does she know of what this concerns?" he said sounding as though he had no intention of letting us in

"She will when we tell her" Dmitri said bluntly.

"May I ask who is calling upon her?"

"Link"

"Saira"

"Dmitri"

"Any last names with that?" he asked rudely.

"Trinity"

"Trinity"

"Alonde"

He nodded curtly and closed the door. A couple minutes later it was opened wide enough for us to go through. Inside was simple enough. A long oak table sat in the center of the room with a couch and chair to the left of it. Bookshelves lined a good portion of the walls save for the kitchen in the back underneath the upper level that you could see some of from our distant position.

"She will be down in just a moment. Make yourselves comfortable" the lad said but we were already sitting on the couch. I guess he wanted to feel like he had control.

"Way ahead of you" Dmitri said anyway stretching. His scimitar was clearly visible and the boy almost had a disgusted look on his face when he saw it.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Dodongo Killers"

We all looked up. I always knew the Sheikahs were strict but her very look made me think I should straighten my posture and look straight ahead as though in the army or such. Her white hair was pulled back so tight she practically looked bald if her skin was as pale as her hair. His pursed lips were still rather full looking and seemed unable to smile. Her eyes were dark blue with an unceasing pierce right into you. She wore tight pants of bright blue and a black shirt. Rather manly if you ask me.

"You must be Impa" Dmitri said casually.

"And you are Dmitri. Stuart's son. I know why you are here. You've come to rejoin our ranks. I'm afraid you have come in vain for this I cannot allow"

"Why the hell not?" I burst surprising myself. When it comes to Dmitri though, I get a bit on edge.

Impa looked at me rather stern but I'd gotten looks like that from the Gerudos one too many times so it hadn't quite the effect she was hoping for.

"Because, Sairalinde, Stuart's crimes against the Sheikah were too much to be forgotten"

"His crimes are only there because you lot don't believe him on what happened" I muttered

"He has no proof–"

"My a–"

"Dmitri" I scolded.

"Stand" Impa ordered going to a wall of swords and pulling one off. Dmitri slid down his scimitar and stood like she said. Without a hint of warning Impa attacked but Nabooru had done so many times in spar so Dmitri was somewhat prepared. Her moves were different than that of the Gerudo. Link grabbed my arm and pulled me back as Impa continued her own personal test of Dmitri. Eventually though her moves outdid his own and he was on his knees with her sword at his neck.

"You're better than I expected."

"He was trained by Nabooru" I mumbled.

"Saira, shh" Link said sternly

"You are good Dmitri, and were it up to me I would have you formally tested, but as it isn't I can do nothing but inform that due to the late want to rejoin us that we must–"

"Dmitri didn't know. That isn't fair" I broke in. This was stupid.

"Saira, it is not up to you. The world is not at your disposal" Impa said

"Then maybe I should have let it be destroyed" I hissed.

Impa sighed. "I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do for you. Be proud of what you have already accomplished"

"Impa, isn't it unfair that he's being singled out because of Stu's mistake?" Link put forth.

"It is but I am not the only one among the Sheikan ranks. But more than anything people know of the time you spent at Gerudo Fortress. You three are famous throughout Hyrule whether you know it or not. Saira, friends with the Deku Tree and honorary Zora. Dmitri, the only male to ever get a somewhat high rank among the Gerudo. Link, the savior of the Gorons. I wouldn't be surprised if King Daphne has heard of you too."

Wouldn't surprise me since we go horseback riding with his daughter all the time, but oh wait, I'm the only one of us three that knows that.

"Screw this!" Dmitri burst suddenly. "All I wanted was a chance. The Sheikah can shove it up their–"

"Dmitri" I said comfortingly.

"No, Saira. I think its stupid that the Gerudo who knew before I did that I was a Sheikah can take me into their ranks but my own kin basically would cast me out. As far as I'm concerned I'm Gerudo through and through" he said angrily storming out. Link followed but I paused.

"All he wanted was a chance. Just a chance" I said following them out. Dmitri was still storming and in his anger ran into Stu who seemed on his way to Impa's...that or the shooting range next door. He and Dmitri always liked to blow off steam by shooting something.

"Dmitri?"

"What do you want?" he hissed

"Dmitri, c'mon, don't be like that"

"Don't be like what, dad? Angry, livid, furious? Pissed off? There's not a lot in this world that gets to me. You know that, but you've been lying to me my whole life!"

"I was only trying to do what I thought was best"

"No, you were trying to prove them wrong" Dmitri spat back. We followed him off not really knowing what else to do.

"Dmitri"

"No, Saira. Don't try this time."

"I wasn't going to. I was going to suggest that perhaps we not linger here if we cant even go from one side of the town to the other without seeing your dad and you going all gung ho"

"She's right, Dmitri. Unless you work things out, its gonna be hard living here" Link said backing me up.

"Let's go now then"

"At least let me go fill up before we leave"

"Fill up on what?" Link asked

"Ingredients. I hear the Potions Maker here is really good and can get rare things you cant find just anywhere. I wanna test those out"

"Alright, well just meet us at the stairs in an hour. That gives us time to pack and say goodbye and all"Link said.

I nodded and made my way to the Potion Shop. I knew every building in Kakariko, save one just behind the Potion Shop. As far as I could see there was no way in through the front but I was sure there was a back door. It made me sad to think that we probably wouldn't be coming back here for awhile meaning I wouldn't get to see what secrets were inside. I'm so nosy sometimes.

The Potion Shop wasn't large by any standards. There was an apartment up above I knew the owner was trying to rent out, and probably had a nice little mixing counter up there. But downstairs, bottles were back to back with ingredients, shelves of books were on the left wall with candles and incense and such on the other. He even had a bottle of natural blue fire you can usually only get in the Ice Cavern near Zora's Domain.

I walked up to the glass counter where several rare looking artifacts sat on one shelf and more rarer potions and ingredients on the one above. I cant believe I haven't come in here before. My potion skills had come along with all the time I had in Gerudo Fortress since most of their time was spent fighting and while I'd had a lesson or two, I was usually inside playing with my potions. But it only took one explosion for Nabooru to tell me it'd be better to go nearer the desert edge to test them. I'll never be rid of all the sand I've got on me. I could scrub until the sun falls from the sky and still there would be that one grain that would escape me.

"Can I help you?"

You see, its not a good idea to surprise me like that before I ended up jumping back, only to trip on my robe, fall into the shelf of potions then to duck away from that, tripped agian sending the last ingredients I had into the mix causing a bit of a explosion taking care of what else was in there. Lucky for him most of his bottles were unbreakable. Some books fell of the shelf and into the mix, one seeming to come alive and start chomping at my legs. I kicked it off breaking it half before the Potions Maker said a few choice words and emptied a bottle of sparkling dust that consumed every fallen ingredient to keep its magic from being released. When the smoke and dust cleared, the look he was giving me was far scarier than any I'd ever received.

"Do you have any idea, any idea at all, how much you just cost me?"

"I don't think any answer I give you will be sufficient to get me out of this"

"That would be right. Who are you?"

"And Impa said I was famous." I muttered to myself. "Saira"

He gave a sarcastic laugh. "Yeah, right. And I'm King of Hyrule"

"Forgive me your majesty" I replied with equal sarcasm. "What did you use to keep everything from reacting?"

"Gift from a friend. Made special should any spastic children come in and make a mess of things" he said giving me a look

"Haha. Look, I can pay you what I have but its not enough to cover it"

"Then what do you propose we do?" he said obviously not going to let this go.

"I don't know but I'm actually leaving n about an hour"

"No, because if you do I'll call out the guard and have you arrested to vandalizing my shop"

I didn't want to inform him that would never fly considering I know who I know but I did feel bad for ruining half his shop.

"So, what do you suggest?" I sighed

"Saira, right? The Saira?"

"Unless they changed my name without my knowing again."

"Rumors have it you're pretty good with potions. Mr. Ely from Lake Hylia mentioned a prodigal little girl that even taught him a thing or two."

"What are you getting at?" I questioned

"I need a little extra help around here. Someone who knows what they're doing. I'll let you work off the debt and even let you have ingredients now and then as long as you do a good job"

"Oh, Dmitri is not going to like this. Wait! You're trying to rent out the apartment above right?"

"Yeah, but you owe me enough already. You cant afford it." He said smartly

"Look, I have a stash of rupees I made while working at Lon Lon Ranch. You can take it and you don't have to let me use ingredients, but I really need a place to live if I have to work off the damage. I'll even work longer to pay for the rent portion" I practically begged.

"Where are you living now?"

"We were staying with the Alonde's but now we were moving on probably to Lon Lon again for a bit"

He thought for a minute. "All right. Be here at 6 am tomorrow"

I nodded and slowly walked to the stairs into Kakariko unpacked so they immediately knew something was off.

"What'd you do?" Link asked without hesitation

"I don't like what your tone is implying" I replied. "But nonetheless you're so right. We cant leave"

"Why not?" Dmitri said the anger to have somewhat subsided.

"I sort of made a mess in the Potion Shop and now I have to work it off." I said rather speedy but I knew they caught every word.

"Saira" they both groaned.

"Sorry. He surprised me and you know how jumpy I am."

"How long you think it'll take for you to work it off?" Link asked taking off his hat and running his hand through his hair.

"Couple months at least" I said in a mousey voice avoiding Dmitri's gaze. "But I got us a place to stay" I added glancing at him from the corner of my eye

"Where?" they asked

"Above the Potion Shop. It'll be a squeeze but I think we can manage."

"What are we gonna do about, uh, well, you and your family problems?" Link asked

"Well, Dmitri, time to show your Gerudo training is of use in this world" I smirked and he couldn't hide his smile.

So I gathered up my things and we went over to the Potion Shop at closing and Daniel, I learned his name was, gave me a set of keys so I could get in. It certainly wasn't much for size but we'd lived in worse. There was a small kitchenette to the left with a place to eat at the counter where bar stools sat. A small couch sat in front of a miniature fire place and doors separated a bedroom and bathroom. It should have been for only one person but we were confident we could make it work. Dmitri took the couch to sleep and Link made a makeshift bed on the floor giving me the actual down bed.

I couldn't sleep though and snuck out of the bedroom and headed downstairs where the mess I'd made had barely been cleaned up, that or it was worse than I thought and he had cleaned up a lot. I lit a lamp on the wall and set to work. I just couldn't get tired enough to sleep. I'd finally gotten the floor back to its normal look when I heard tired footsteps travel down the stairs.

"It's 3:00 in the morning love, what you doing up?" Dmitri said half yawning.

"Cant sleep."

"Why not?" he said sitting down on the stool behind the counter.

"I don't know. Guess with everything going on. You, my screw ups, everything. I'm worried about you, y'know. I've never seen you like that and I know you better than anyone in all the worlds. You may as well be my other half and then I see that and it scares me I guess."

"I'm sorry about that" he sighed. "I guess I've been bottling it up for some time now."

"Can you handle staying here?" I asked

"And leave to fend for yourself?"

"Link's here" I pointed out. "And no offense but he's just as good as you on most things. He's got all that talent from his other life and all"

"Yeah, but he ain't me" Dmitri smirked. "C'mon. You need to get some sleep"

"Nah, I gotta be up in three hours anyway. I'll survive"

"Need any help?"

"If you're offering"

It was like old times save for the fact Dmitri actually was helping. I felt responsible being there doing work. When I look around things have really changed. Not drastically but enough to be noticed. Link has really matured over the years. The once prankster prince is now a somewhat mature adult who thinks about more than himself. He knows responsibility but still has some growing up to do.

Dmitri has changed, more in the last week than anything. With the Gerudos though he learned discipline and a place where he was accepted for his talents, something majorly needed I think. He understands better than ever now what's more important.

And me? Hmm, I think I've always been the voice of reason among our trio. Without me I bet chaos would have ensued and on several occasions we'd probably be killed. I've always had to play the responsible role. For once, it's a bit nice to be doing it on something I like to do. I hate to see if we change too much more.

I know I probably shouldn't have but I did so there's no going back. I went through Daniel's things and found out what all needed to be done for the week, inventory and ordering and such. Pretty much everything he had to do I went ahead and started getting done so I wasn't there at 6 am like he told me to. I was meeting a vendor who nearly almost left because I don't think Daniel got the message he was arriving. I came back to find a rather pissed off Daniel but at the same time not at all.

"You're late. Something that I find hard to believe since you live upstairs"

"You should check your mail more often. You almost missed out on this" I said pulling out a rare plant that was used for a good majority of antidote potions should you be unable to get a bezoar. "And I cleaned up the shop, finished your inventory and I was going to finish talking to the merchants around noon"

He's speechless. Hehe.

"There any potions you need made?" I asked with a smile

"Saira!" voices called from upstairs.

"We're hungry!" Dmitri called

"Then go make your own damn breakfast. I have a job you dead weights!" I called back up.

"There are three of you up there?" he asked

"Yeah, gotta live somewhere. But we've lived in smaller digs. So about those potions."

Needless to say, I was exactly the kind of help Daniel was looking for. It took him a awhile to really warm up to me, but when he saw I had a knack for potion making he sort of took me under his wing teaching me things you cant really learn anywhere else.

After the first day of work, Dmitri and I decided to explore more of the town itself while Link checked out the weapons Bazaar. We'd gone over every inch pretty much until I felt sort of drawn to a a pathway in the corner of town across from Anjou's Cucco pen.

"Where's that go Dmitri?"

"Uh, the Graveyard I think"

I don't know why I wanted to but I headed down the path. The Graveyard had a somewhat peaceful feel to it and was very well kept up. No one was around so Dmitri and I went grave to grave seeing who was all buried. Several members of the Royal Family were buried near the back and a plaque behind that said it was the entrance to the Shadow Temple used by the Sheikah to train their students. I saw Dmitri's jaw twitch as he looked up but I touched his arm and he immediately snapped out of it.

But my attention was drawn away a moment later to a vine covered bit of wall to my right. I walked over and took Dmitri's dagger cutting away a bit of the vines form the top revealing a small alcove beautifully covered in a flowers that filled the area with a sweet scent. But what I saw made me drop to my knees and have to catch my breath.

Two marble stones stood with gold engravings reading the names of my parents. Dmitri placed a hand on my shoulder as I smiled.

"I wonder if Link knows about this. These are my parents, Dmitri."

"I know, love. Whoever keeps this place must care for them"

"Hey! What are you brats doing!"

I rose and turned to see a rather hideous old man running at us with a dirt ridden shovel. Dmitri quickly unsheathed his scimitar making him skid to a stop in front of us.

"What do you think you're doing!" he said before his eyes widened. "Oh, my blessed goddesses. Little Saira"

I looked at Dmitri in confusion. "Do I know you?"

"Aye, but I haven't seen you since you was a babe."

"You know they're my parents?" I asked

"You look just like your mother, and you have your father's curiosity. You must be the Alonde's boy" he nodded toward Dmitri.

"Mmhmm" Dmitri said put out. "And you are?"

"Dampེ the Grave keeper"

I fell to my knees again as visions started hitting me. Random scenes flashed across my mind. Mostly of Dmitri and I speaking with him in the Graveyard but one final one where we found him dead in his house. I snapped to and Dampེ had a cup of water ready for me.

"Thank you"

Dampེ smiled broadly at us with his toothy grin. I couldn't help but smile back.

Over time Dmitri did well avoiding Stu going up to the field near the windmill most days to train. I knew the Sheikah were probably watching him and Link too since they often sparred together but they never made themselves known.

One day a little over a month later, Daniel gave me the day off so me and my boys could go riding. I hadn't been in such a long time. We didn't go to Lon Lon but ironically enough that after many hours of riding, Talon and Malon were at Kakariko delivering some milk and other such things to local businesses. Dmitri practically jumped off his horse to say hello.

"Well, well, well. There's been quite a few stories about you three from travelers" Talon said when we walked up. "How have you been?"

"Pretty good"

"We're stuck here at the moment" Dmitri said bluntly. "Saira messed up the Potion Shop nice and good and is working off the debt."

"You two helping her?"

Link and Dmitri glanced at each other.

"No, you see these two don't think of things like that" I teased. "It's hard to find a job here when you're our age group and the only expertise you have is either fighting or weaponry and the Bazaar here isn't hiring" I explained

"Ah. Well, you two are welcome to help me out anytime you like" Talon said to them

"Really?" Dmitri said attention perked

"Sure, you two are some of the best help I had. I probably don't need you everyday, but any day you wish to come I'll gladly pay you for you help."

"Oh, that's wonderful Dmitri. I liked it when you worked for us before. I got to see you more" Malon said excitedly.

I had to keep myself from making gagging motion and instead smiled. Dmitri likes her, doesn't mean I have to.

I actually liked it when Dmitri and Link would go to Lon Lon Ranch to work. Gave me time to do what I want, even flirt with guys in the village. I'm a celebrity so people like to randomly walk up and talk to me. Also whenever the boys were gone I could go over and see Vienne. Stu was never there so often times I didn't have to worry about confrontation.

"Okay, Saira, I need to go to Castletown this weekend but I have several orders due. Can I count on you to take care of everything? No parties, no closing early, no opening late, no shenanigans?"

"Shenanigans?" I said holding back a laugh.

"Saira"

"Don't worry Daniel, you know you can count on me"

"Alright, and don't let Dmitri bring that Malon girl up again"

"What?" I asked confused

"Yeah, one day while you were running up to Goron City for me, Malon came by and they were upstairs alone." he said with disapproval.

"Don't worry, I certainly wont let that happen again"

"Good. Oh, and the summer rush is ending so you wont have to work so much."

"That reminds me I need the 17th off."

"For what?"

"Mine and my brother's birthday. Dmitri's was last month "

"Ah, well its yours then. I'll be back"

"Thanks."

Daniel left and I set to stocking the shelves with new items. A few hours went by and I gave out all the orders I needed to and then retreated to the back to make some more or a few best selling potions. I was about to pour the mix into a vile when I heard the bell and lots of laughter. I figured it was the usual couple coming in for the usual aphrodisiacs so I grabbed a few from the back and walked out just as I saw Dmitri and Malon heading upstairs

"And where do you think you're going?" I said stopping them in place.

"Saira? I thought you had the day off"

"No, Daniel has the day off because he's going to Castletown. So again, where do you tink you're going?"

"It's not really any of your business" Malon said rather rudely which surprised me

"It is my business actually since I'm the one paying for the apartment you're headed to. I don't really care that the two of you are having so much fun just do it somewhere else"

"Hmph" she smirked as Dmitri abided me and led them out muttering an apology to me as they went. The day after that was rather slow and I closed shop taking the trash to the back. That's when I noticed a light on in the door-less building. Damn my curiosity.

I walked over and found a short stairway up to a back door, or only door. I knocked quietly and the door creaked open slowly. Inside was a large dimly lit room cloudy and smelly with incense. Dark colored plush carpets covered the floors and similar wallpaper on the walls. Curtains at the back separated another room and a small light was coming out from beneath it.

"Who are you?" hissed a voice. I couldn't tell if it was a man or woman it was so raspy.

"Saira"

"The young girl from the potion shop next door?"

"Yeah." I said shortly

The curtain moved aside and an aged old woman emerged. Her long hair was pulled back and graying in several parts. Her eyes were sharp like when an eagle stalks its prey. Thin lips rested below a long crooked nose. If I didn't know better I'd peg her as a witch from the stories I read. She fit the profile perfect.

"What are you doing here?" she asked picking up a black cat off the ground and setting it in her lap as she sat down.

"I saw a light on and this is the only place I've never been"

"You're far too curious for your own good"

"People tell me that all time, even Great Faeries" I smirked

"Are you afraid of me?"

"Should I be?"

"Hmm, you aren't afraid. Not in the least. If anything, you're just more curious. Do you know who I am?"

"I'm going to take a stab at this and say you're the witch people thought died years ago and that this place is just haunted."

"A witch? Hmm, perhaps that is a name I could have but I think the town is just full of superstitious brutes"

"Every town is. This one is no different"

"Come, child, sit."
