Note: I do not own Riddick or any of the character/situation found in this story. I'm just using them for my own amusement.

"You keep what you kill."

Vaako felt a cold smile play across his lips at this familiar promise. This lone sentence had become the center of all necromongers. Not the faith in the righteousness of death, as the former Lord Marshall –whose dead body lay still a few yards behind. No, the Lord Marshall had never been the omnipotent leader that Vaako had previously thought. The Furyan's actions had proved this.

His thoughts turned to the new leader –the Furyan – Riddick. The crumpled, lifeless body of the one known to Vaako only as Kyra was slowly becoming cold on the steps beneath the New Lord Marshal's throne. Grief lined Riddick's face, the First could see it even from his kneeling position.

Riddick sat like a defeated man, but everyone in the room knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this man, this Furyan would never be defeated by anything. The strange show of emotion attested to just how precious the girl had been to him, and yet Vaako did not sense that it was the grief of a lover, more like that of a father. This said, Vaako was no expert judge in the area of emotions. His own had been forever taken the moment he accepted the necromongers way.

The Riddick was standing now. Vaako did like-wise. He did not know what to expect from this man, but he knew in his heart that he would forever be loyal to this Lord Marshal, unlike the last. And no smooth manipulation from the Dame Vaako would change his mind this time. No Purifier would plants doubts into the memories of what he had just witnessed. With a nod of satisfaction, Vaako motioned the necromongers to form ranks as the Riddick picked up Kyra's lifeless body and started towards the Bascilica's enormous double doors.

You keep what you kill.
