You Make My Day
Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans. If I did, this would be the next new episode.
Robin threw himself on the couch. They had just been out fighting Overload, and believe or not, it was one of the toughest fights he had ever been through. Robin didn't have the best day ever. He made horrible time on the obstacle course (5 minutes and 56 seconds, when his usual was around 1 minute and 20 seconds), Cyborg beat him bad in video games four times, Beast Boy beat him in a one-on-one basketball game, and Overload threw him across an electronics store. This day couldn't possibly get any worse. Then, Starfire walked into the room.
"Robin, are you okay?" she asked. He looked up at her. If anyone else had asked him that question, he would have replied with something sarcastic like 'do I look okay to you?' or 'yeah, being thrown across a store really made my day'. But he couldn't say ant of those things to Starfire.
"A little beat up, but I'll be fine," he replied. For some reason, when Starfire was around, it felt like nothing bad had ever happened to him. It felt like nothing could go wrong.
"I am glad to hear that, Robin," Starfire said, smiling. Her smile seemed to light up the room. Robin sat up and she sat down next to him. Everything was perfect. It was just the two of them together. There was a moment of peaceful silence.
"You did great on the obstacle course today," said Robin, feeling a need to break the silence.
"Thank you. Your performance on the course was well," she replied. Robin knew that wasn't true, but Starfire's compliment meant everything to him at that moment.
"Thanks," he replied.
"How did the 'one-on-one' with Beast Boy go?" she asked.
"Umm, he beat me 5 to 1," said Robin. Starfire looked confused.
"Please, what do you mean by '5 to 1' " she asked.
"Oh, that means that Beast Boy got five points when I only got one," Robin explained.
"Oh," said Starfire. "As long as you have tried your best and had fun, the score does not matter,"
"Thanks Starfire," said Robin.
"For what?" asked Starfire.
"For making my day,"
"You are most welcome!" Starfire exclaimed.
"Umm, Star, I was wondering, do you want to go to the movies tonight? I mean something good has to be playing," asked Robin
Starfire nodded. "That would be most enjoyable," she said.
"Come on," said Robin, standing up and holding his hand out. Starfire took it and he lead her to the garage. He pulled out two helmets for his motorcycle. He handed one to Starfire, how put it on quickly. Then he put on his own. They mounted the bike.
"This is safe, yes?" Starfire questioned him.
"Just hold on," Robin replied. Starfire placed her arms around his waist and they sped off for their first date.
