Okay, another story. It's going to take me at least 4 days to update one story again. I suck, I know. I have too many continuous stories that I want to keep, and it ends up with me all confuzzled. 7 stories that are still going on… that's a scary number to deal with if you want constant updates. But I thought of this last night, and it was a good one so I figured, why not?

This chapter is going to be sort of like a prologue. A lot shorter than the other ones, but I hope that it's interesting.

Introduction

There was a prophecy once, created by a dying woman who claimed that she saw some kind of link to the future. Someone had written it down on an ancient scroll, but as the centuries passed it was lost to civilization. Whether it was blown by wind, carried through water, burned by fire, or trapped within earth, nobody knew the answer. A few people who heard it being spoken while the woman was in her deathbed told the strange words to their children, thus spreading the words of the prophecy through the generations. Although the prophecy was, by the present time, almost a millennia old, the number of people who knew about it were scarce and the number of people who understood the strange prophecy's meaning were none. It was mysterious and enchanting, and the words seemed to flow finely yet also strangely.

The prophecy goes like this:

There is but a single being who will control the Earth

A great lord arising from the darkest pits of humankind

But the Sender also gave one to stop and destroy him

So that peace may be restored to all those living

There are three others, children of the true elements

Birthed by Destiny to help the One,

They will soon come to assist in destroying destruction, yet

The vital question that lays hidden beneath seemingly important duty is:

How will one diminish evil without becoming an evil within itself?

If thine can answer this challenging truth

The fate of the world will lie in that solution

Four will rise for the sake of good

And in that mission become more evil

In a thousand years, the plague will begin

As the Dark One rises to his greatest powers

Distraught and terror will become the binary

For everyone human living during the troubled times to come

The world is in need of love that will heal

The sick and undying evil threatening everyone

Remember my words, my precious children

And you will find the answer when the answer seeks you.

Many people who came upon these words attempted to figure out what this meant, but all to no avail. Scholars and librarians had their reputations ruined in the process. The prophecy was rewritten on a paper, which mysteriously blew away into the breeze, carried deep into China's sprawling mountains.

It landed at a temple where four young monks thrived.

It took me so long to think of that prophecy, it isn't even funny. It'll get less confusing and serious when I actually start the chapters, so please bear with me.
