Chapter Two: Tell
"You got everything?" Elizabeth asked as he strapped the gun suspender on his thigh. John and Elizabeth were both presently in John's quarters with three guards outside his door. As the guards stood outside the door, Elizabeth stayed with John, incase he needed help suiting up and also for company. John slid in his berretta into his gun suspender that was strapped on his thigh and nodded to Elizabeth. "Good, now lets get going. Every second counts." Elizabeth picked up his robe from the bed, flipped it over her arm and they both left.
As they walked along the halls with guards in front of them, Elizabeth remembered what he said earlier.
Elizabeth looked around the room as John pulled out new pair of blue military pants and black skivvy. She felt a breeze coming from behind her and she turned around, only to see John topless and just about to pull his pants down.
"Ah! Sorry!" Elizabeth swiveled around and looked at the closed entrance of his room. John looked over his shoulder at her and continued to get changed. He pulled his skivvy over his head and pulled the fresh pair of pants up.
"Elizabeth," John whispered as fiddled the buckle of his pants. "Thank you." He took the vest on his bed and continued to suit up.
"What for?" Elizabeth whispered back. She started playing with her hands.
"You stayed beside me, even after I tried to kill you." John zipped up his vest.
"I won't leave you side until you've gotten past this." Elizabeth smiled as she continued. "Even when you do get better, I'll still be by your side."
John started to lace his boots up. "Thank you, for everything you've done for me."
Elizabeth figured that he got enough time changing so she turned to face him. "Any time."
She was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt something against the skin of her hand. She looked down and noticed that John was holding her hand. She smiled as she entwined his fingers with hers. Even though his hands had claws for nails and his skin was Wraith like, his hands still felt like it was John Sheppard's, not something that tried to convert him.
As they turned the corner to walk down the corridor that led to the gate room, they let go of each other's hands as Elizabeth handed him his robe. He put it on as they walked through the halls, finally reaching the gate room.
"Good luck and come back," Elizabeth whispered to him as she turned to Teyla, Rodney and Ronan who just arrived, like they did, in the gate room.
"He's ready."
