Under the menacing heat of the Tatooine sun, a young boy makes his way home.
A home usually consists of two loving parents, siblings, and possibly even a pet. However, this stereotypical "home" description is far from Alex's situation.

"Master I'm home", said Alex.
Joppa, the repulsive Hutt, greeted the slave boy in an unusually pleasant fashion.
"Whaddya want?" the Hutt demanded.
Alex shifted uneasily.
"Could I take a short holiday, you know, erm…., for work purposes", said Alex. "You know, replenish my strength so I can be fit to work for you, next season".
Alex planned to escape. He was an unusually cunning little boy-for 8 years old- and was said to be 'beyond his years' by the wise customer or two.
"Sure Alex, you can have a holiday" said the Hutt mockingly.
"Ok…."Alex muttered, not sure about his next move.
"Yeah, you can go on a holiday after you die!" the Hutt said with contempt.
Alex thought about continuing to argue, but the promise of winning an argument against the will of a Hutt was not so encouraging. Dejected but not defeated, Alex made his way to his room.
Alex gazed at the ceiling as he lay on his bed. His bones, as usual, were aching from the laborious tasks that he was forced to do.
"The life of a slave…" Alex thought to himself.
Alex often wondered who his real parents were. Being captured and sold at a young age made him clueless of the life he would have lived. All his life he lived around the Hutts: slimy creatures- on the inside and outside. The only possession Alex kept was a book that was given to him by a sympathetic wanderer. This book resembled today's encyclopedia. It contained all the information that was known to every being in the galaxy. This book was like the doorway to the outside world, for Alex. Sometimes whenever Alex felt depressed he read it; knowing that one day he may actually experience life outside "Joppa's Cantina"
Alex tossed and turned as he planned his escape. After hours on end, Alex reached a conclusion, knowing that Joppa's weakness was money…
