Hi. This is my first fanfiction so be nice and no flames; if you liked my story please review with any polite suggestions. Anyway I got this idea when watching an oldmovie called "The Shop Around the Corner" it is a really good movie and I encourage you to watch it.
Attention Rebels!
It has come to the attention of myself and the Rogue Squadron that there is a lack of inter-base unity. Seeing this we, the Rogue Squadron, had decided to start an inter-base pen pal program. So if you would like to correspond anonymously with a fellow rebel please contact the Rogue Squadron.
Sincerely,
Luke Skywalker
Luke put up the poster he had made and gazed proudly at it while trying to ignore the disgusted groans of Wes, Wedge, and Hobbs.
"Aww, come on Luke did you have to say the Rogue Squadron?" whined Wes as he discreetly tried to shred one of the posters. "I mean really it was your idea not ours."
"Guys," Luke began, "you have to admit since the destruction of the Death Star some of the rebels have considered themselves better than others." As he said this he glared pointedly at his friends.
"Ok Luke," said Hobbs, "maybe some of us put ourselves higher than others but that doesn't mean you have to say that we came up with this idea. I mean it is kinda stupid."
"Honestly," said Wedge who saw that beating around the bush was getting them no where, "no one will do it and those who do will only to-"
"YOU ARE SUCH AN IDIOT!" Luke and his friends whirled to see Leia, covered in what seemed to be a mixture of oil and dirty snow, furiously rushing out of the Millennium Falcon closely followed by Han.
Han, looking equally furious, called after her, "WELL AT LEAST I'M NOT STUCK UP!" Leia stopped mid-step and turned around; for a moment it looked like she was going to say something but walked off instead. Han threw one last dirty look in her direction and stomped back into the Falcon.
The Rogue Squadron sighed. They were so used to their infamous fights and since the rebels arrived on Hoth the fights have seemed to increase in oftenest and ferocity.
Luke sighed again and Wedge said, "Man that one was really loud." The others nodded in tired agreement.
"I'm sorry what were you saying Wedge?" Luke asked though not looking interested and seemed more worried about Han and Leia.
"Huh? Oh yeah, what I was saying was that the only reason people would join would be to meet someone. 'Cause I mean writing is supposed to be really romantic so it be real easy to get a person to like you."
Luke nodded in unconcerned agreement and the paused. He looked up at Wedge and cried," You're a genius!" Then he rushed off. The three men stared after Luke in confusion. Wes then turned to the poster ripped off the wall and walked away.
