Marry Me 'Mione?
Author's Note: this is going to be a short one, with a long one about what happens after all this but I'm doing it because Steven Speaks – Out of my League is a sad song for me so I want to make it a happy one!
Sirius held her close as they twirled around the Great Hall the day of her graduation and suddenly felt complete, he couldn't understand why but just having her in his arms and seeing his godson dancing with the love of his life just made Sirius feel like everything finally clicked.
"Don't you daydream now, you can't multi-task and I don't want to stand here while you zone into space!" Hermione said as her bright smile met his eyes and he knew what he had to do.
Everyone swirled around the hall with looks of complete bliss on their faces, and for just one day all the horrors in the world were gone. There was no Voldomort, no war and everything was perfect inside that brightly lit room while everyone held close their loves. Remus held Nymphadora close and Sirius watched as he whispered something in her ear and her face lit, Remus had done it, he asked Nymphadora to marry him.
Sirius looked down at Hermione who was zoned out over his shoulder.
Come on do it old boy. Sirius thought as he eyes met his again.
Sirius leaned in and kissed her softly on the lips.
"I love you Hermione." He whispered softly as he watched her blush while her eyes lit up.
"I love you too" she said before once again closing the gap between them.
The song changed and Sirius was having a huge rush, they loved each other, why wait. He though about the weight in his pocket, the white gold band with three diamonds set into it, the band of true love with one stone for past, one for present, and one for the future.
"Come on Mione" Sirius said as he took Hermione's hand and pulled her towards the deserted staff table, all the professors were dancing too.
Sirius stood on a chair and pulled himself and Hermione onto the table and addressed the room.
"If I can have everyone's attention please there is something I want to say." Sirius said holding Hermione's hand to keep her in place.
"Sirius!" she hissed through a smile trying not to look too much like she was trying to struggle away.
"Hermione, I love you" Sirius said
"We've been through this part Sirius" Hermione growled through her smile that was getting rather nervous looking.
Sirius lowered himself to one knee, "Marry me Mione?"
She looked at him shocked and slapped him across the face.
The audience gasped and watched Hermione squat down to his level.
"That was for doing that on the table," she said "and this is my way of saying yes" she took his head in her hands and kissed him deeply in front of all her friends, family and adopted family.
As the crowd broke into applause Sirius and Hermione rose, to look out over there friends only to see Harry and Ginny beaming while Remus whistled loudly between his fingers.
Hermione smiled, "This is the first day of the rest of my life" Hermione said
"Our life" Sirius corrected before holding her close and dancing with her on the table.
