I used to be a big fan of Jon Bon Jovi. So, sometimes when I'm writting I listen to his music. One day, as I was writing about Aragorn's youth, I realised that some of Jon's songs fit perfectly into the ranger way.
So here are my few attempts to translate my favourite Bon Jovi songs into Middle Earth.
This one is about any ranger. It's a general song about the life of a ranger.
Wanted dead or Alive
It's all the same, only the names will change
Everyday it seems we're wasting away
Another place where the faces are so cold
I'd ride all night just to get back home
I'm a ranger, on a elvish horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days
And the people I meet always go their separate ways
Sometimes you tell the day
By the orcs that you kill
And times when you're all alone all you do is think
I'm a ranger, on a elvish horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
A sword/archery break.
I'm a ranger, on a elvish horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
And I walk these streets, with my sword on my back
I fight for survival, 'cause I might not make it back
I been everywhere, still I'm standing tall
I've seen a million faces, and I've saved them all.
I'm a ranger, on a elvish horse I ride
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
I'm a ranger, I got the night on my side
I'm wanted dead or alive
Wanted dead or alive
And I ride dead or alive
I still ride dead or alive
Dead or alive
