Bah, my first Hoennshipping poem. I suck at poetry. I worked on this at school for only 20 minutes (because I got bored of my teacher blabbing about stuff) so it sucks.
Well, enjoy! (I hope!)
Unfair Fate
You told me to wait,
At the curb of the street.
And said you'll be there.
And that's where we'll meet.
---
I remained still.
As the time went tick, tick.
Then the blazing sun hid behind clouds,
Like a fire does to a candle's wick.
---
The clouds began to rumble.
As I saw a flash of light.
Giving off an awful feeling in the atmosphere;
The feeling of spite.
---
Time went on.
And still I wait.
Wondering, "Where are you? . . .
Did I make a mistake?"
---
The sky got darker.
And lightning filled the heavens.
I covered my ears,
And tried to ignore the sound then . . .
Then I heard a CRASH!
It was such an awful sound.
So crisp and snappish,
And very loud.
---
I paused and thought 'What's going on?'
And checked my watch to check the time.
I knew you were late,
But I won't whine.
---
An ambulance drove past me.
---
I heard the sirens.
And the vehicle went down the road.
My heart pounded faster;
And my head shouted 'No!'
---
I chased after the car,
And pleaded to God.
'Please don't let it be…'
Then shot off running light a lightning rod.
---
I turned the corner.
while my feet went, tap tap, tap as I ran.
I tripped and fell.
And shouted, "Aw man!"
---
I swiftly got up.
And continued to scurry.
I ran as fast as I can.
Because I was in a hurry.
---
I finally reached my destination.
And saw a crowd.
No one was smiling.
'Nor they looked proud.
---
They turned to me with a solemn face.
And whispered, "I'm sorry . . ."
That's when I
Began to worry.
---
I ran up to you.
And grasped your hand.
Your body was practically unconscious.
Like a limp rubber band.
---
"What happened!" I shouted.
"Who did this!" I screamed.
But no one answered.
This has to be a dream!
---
I turned back to you . . .
---
I held your hand tight
With tears in my eyes.
And cried to you . . .
"DON'T DIE!"
---
You turned to me.
And opened you pretty blue eyes.
Tried to talk,
But gave a huge, sad sigh.
---
Blood dripped from your mouth.
As you gave a little cough.
You tried to tell me something.
But your voice was too soft.
---
You gave me a smile
As I stared from above.
You opened your mouth again
To say "I love--"
---
You couldn't finish the sentence.
The paramedics took you away.
I couldn't do anything about it.
I couldn't save the day.
---
I reached after you.
As they closed the ambulance doors.
I just stood there helpless . . .
Feeling sad and poor.
---
The rain began to pour.
As I shouted to the sky.
"WHAT THE HELL!
HOW COULD YOU LET HER . . .die?"
---
I tried to get a hold of myself.
Feeling most confused.
The rain ruffled my white hair.
And it was amused.
---
I heard the sirens.
Fade from my ears.
I cried and cried.
Cried many tears.
---
Her fate was decided.
And I was there.
But that's how fate works . . .
Fate is just unfair.
End
