An: just a little dark one shot. While everyone is getting stronger during the story and Sakura sees here self nothing but a weakling. This is her resolve to become stronger, to catch up with the two who now in power left her in the dust.

To Obtain.

What's a normal girl to do?

To get stronger…

Strength…

What is that?

People crave it, need it, want it, kill for it? Why? Why do people do such horrible and revolting things for such a possession? It is like a double edge sword that cuts both its wilder and the opponent.

Pointless.

Sakura stood quietly; heavy uneven breath escaped pale lips. Sweat glisten her small body and coated it. Trivial cuts and nicks were visible to the naked eye, however it seemed like those were the last ofgirl's concern.

Strength. A voice from within her mind whispered coolly.

You must obtain it. The voice coated with honey but was in turn so sour.

You must become stronger, and stronger… and stronger

Slowly sea foam colored eyes closed as the voice went on to speak to her. Sakura felt the invisible arms of the voice wrap around her body. Over and over Sakura questioned her sanity, but in the end to obtain what she wanted, no needed– she stopped asking.

Her enemy approached slowly, and laughed. He mocked her.

"Scared now? Not so strong are you!" The rotten smell of his breath did not phase the girl who turned woman over night.

Strength…

I have to….

You have too….

" aww is the little girl going to cry now!" Again he mocked her.

Cry? The voice from within her mind laughed.

Just as they closed those eyes opened, and stared at the enemy. The once bright eyes faded into the dull jade color thatwoman now bore. There was something that must be done, something only she could do once she obtain it.

To do so, she made an unholy alliance – with herself.

The man, her target fell to the ground suddenly as if some unknown force just hit him. Which in truth did actually happened from his perfective.

"cry?" Sakura blossom colored locks danced in the soft breeze of the mid day afternoon as she glazed upward.

No… the strong do not cry…

Not until I surpass him…

Not until… I show him… my strength….

Not until… he sees… me… for me.

Then I will cry, until then….

... I must obtain it.
