A tale of sorts…
(A Harry Potter fanfic production.)
Now we all have read the stories; some of us have seen the movies (which I wasn't a big fan of mind you). But I wonder, have any of you heard the tale of Harry's first tooth? Ah, I didn't think you had. Very well, I believe it to be a perfect time to start our look into the past of the most famous young wizard of our time.
The screams of a baby boy could be heard well down the street from 4 Privet Drive that day. At least, that was as much as the normal muggle could hear. Throughout the wizarding world the agony of little Harry could be felt and heard by all.
Mrs. Dursley rushed into Harry's room up on the second floor. For at this time they hadn't "upgraded" him to the cupboard under the stairs. She quickly made her way to the crib and peered inside. Then with a loud thud… Mrs. Dursley fainted.
After some time she finally came back to her senses and awoke with a jolt. Slowly, she made her way back to the crib and inched her nose back over the railing until she could see inside once again.
Now is probably a good time to explain something about Petunia darling. You see, she is a very prim and proper woman. With a very level head on her shoulders, thank you kindly. Of course, she is a little bit nosey (quite more than a little bit between you and I), but who isn't.
Which is why, when she saw in Harry's crib the piles of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Chocolate Frogs hopping to and fro, and countless other candies all with an owl perched at the peak of each, she was given such a fright. And wouldn't you know it, they each had a clawed talon outstretched as if expecting payment on delivery. A strange sight, a very strange sight indeed, for one such as Petunia darling. But among the piles of candy and chirping owls she happened to notice a ivory envelope with brilliant green lettering on the front. Being that it couldn't possibly be for Harry (for why would anyone send a child a letter) she took it upon herself to open it.
Dear Petunia,
I trust that little Harry is getting along splendidly. Just today we all heard little Harry has achieved the wonders of his very first tooth. Ah, a joyous day if I must say. I do hope you don't mind all the candies given to Harry by various Witches and Wizards. I assure you they are all safe and fine for him to eat. That is all for now as I do have pressing matters to attend.
Albus Dumbledore
P.S. Do see that the owls are paid.
..:That's all from me for now. This was just a story I wrote for a friend to show that it is possible for there to be legible writing on this website.:..
