Lola and the Lizard

It was a beautiful day
In Looney Tunes Land
Where everything there
Didn't go out of hand
Our story begins
In a forest so green
And no other animal
Were not very mean
In this green forest,
There lived a rabbit
Who was pretty as a flower
And had a really good habit
Her name is Lola Bunny
The nicest rabbit to meet
Even though she could play
On her own rabbit feet
On this day, she was lonely
With no one to talk to
She was ever so shallow
And she felt quite blue
Until a small lizard
Green as the grass
Crawled up to her legs,
Looks up and asks,
"What is the matter?
Why are you acting so blue?
You're looking as if
No light can come through."
She looks down at the lizard
Without hesitation
As she was telling
Her obvious reason:
"I'm lonely and sad.
It is quite true.
Nobody talks to me…
Except maybe you."
"What is your name?"
The green lizard asked
"I'll tell you my name
That name is Trinadad."
"My name is Lola."
The tan rabbit spoke.
"It's a pleasure to meet you,
But why aren't you with your folk?"
"I'm different from them.
That's all there is.
I'm also very shy
Among other things."
"Can you be my friend?
I don't have a pet.
I really need one
That won't make me fret."
The lizard nodded with care.
He never expected
For a girl like Lola
To be so protective.
This made her smile
With a song from a bird
As she got up
From the brown rocks of dirt
"Please, take me with you.
You're the only person I've met
That loves to keep animals
And act as a vet."
The lizard said this
With happiness in his eyes
While Lola picked him up
With tears in her eyes
"Now, that you're my friend
I'll take good care of you.
I'll make sure that nothing bad
Takes over us two."
After Lola's reply
She walked off with a smile
Knowing that she'll keep the lizard
For a long, long while
