Yay! This is my first DDR/Yu-Gi-Oh crossover, in which Toby and I invite the Yu-Gi-Oh gang to play DDR at an arcade. Who will beat who? Find out!
Disclaimer: I own the home version of DDR, but I didn't make it. I also don't own Yu-Gi-Oh or any other anime. Thank you.
Kairi stood in line, tapping her foot impatiently. She was waiting to play DDR, the best game in the world. She was pretty good on Light, but a little good on Standard. Toby, who was next to her, was the same way, since he lived in her mind and watched her. Finally, it was her turn. She placed the tokens inside, and chose Light. She began Butterfly, a three footer. She did well, nearly getting all of the arrows, but missed only a few. The results screen came up, and revealed an A.
"Alrighty, then," she said to herself, choosing B4U, which she was really good at. She missed only a few arrows, and got another A. About to burst, she chose Waka Laka on her final stage. She enjoyed this song, sometimes holding onto the railing, people watching her nearly getting all the arrows. Her final score was an A.
"Let's see you beat that, Toby," she taunted to her spirit. He nodded, and stepped onto the game. He chose the same songs as Kairi, his final score an A.
"Dang it!" he cried, anger showing on his face. "I wish I could get better at this." Kairi nodded, wishing the same thing. A bright light flashed, and four people appeared. One had spiky hair, another had blond hair, a girl was with them, her brown hair pulled down. One last boy was with them, with a brown jacket.
"Hey, Yugi!" Kairi called, waving over to them. "Long time, no see!"
"Hey, Kairi," Joey said, shaking her hand. "It's been a while." He looked over at the DDR machine. "What's that?"
"That's a video game called DDR, or Dance Dance Revolution," Kairi explained, watching two boys doing Heavy mode and not missing any arrows. "What you have to do is try not to miss any of the arrows. The difficulties are: Beginner, Light, Standard, and Heavy."
"Cool," Tea said, smiling. "Can we play?" Kairi nodded and went to buy more tokens. Yugi transformed into Yami, his eyes glowing as he watched the two boys play.
"Here you are!" Kairi called, handing each of them two tokens. She even had two tokens for herself and Toby. "We have to wait, though. Usually, some people like to play this game, so it might be awhile. So, who's going first?"
"I will," Yami whispered, walking up to the machine. "I'm ready for this challenge."
Oh, dear! Will Yami fail, or pass? Find out in chapter two. What songs should he do? You decide.
Review, please?
