Reality

Disclaimer: I really don't own it…if I did, I wouldn't be writing this, I would be playing with my very own Sevvie. But unfortunately, I don't own it…tear.

It was beautiful, there was no other way to describe it. An amazing array of flowers and colors decorated the church. Some strange Ministry official was waiting at the altar to perform the ceremony. The entire church was filled to the brim with people, including her mom at the front, already crying her eyes out.

She glanced at her bridal party, consisting of Ginny, Lavender, Parvati, and Luna. They were all arrayed in lovely dresses. She, herself was wearing a stunning white wedding gown with an intricately beaded bodice.

At the end of the altar she saw the best man, Harry, smiling reassuringly at her. As the music began to play she looked into her groom's grinning face, and grasped her father's arm to begin the walk down that aisle into her red-headed groom's waiting embrace.

"Hmmmm, what an amazing dream," Hermione Granger mused to herself as she began getting ready for the coming school day. "Perhaps someday, it will truly happen. Perhaps someday, I will walk down the aisle and become Mrs. Ronald Weasely," she whispered to herself as she walked out of her Head Girl quarters to meet up with her boyfriend, Ron.

(come on, did y'all really believe that was it?)

5 Years later

Hermione smiled to herself as she remembered that particular dream. She looked around and noted the differences between her fantasy wedding and the real thing. The Great Hall was decorated a little, but not too lavishly. The enchanted ceiling showed a gorgeous star-filled night. The room wasn't full; in fact it was actually quite empty; not many people would witness the ceremony tonight. Of course, there was no Ministry official presiding over the ceremony. No one but Albus Dumbledore would marry them. That was decided rather early on in the engagement.

Her bridal party consisted of no one but Ginny who was obviously pregnant but Hermione would have had no one else be her matron of honor. Ginny had always been her best girl friend and graduation hadn't changed that.

She was dressed in a simple, yet beautiful, white wedding gown. There was only the barest touch of lace and no intricately beaded bodice. She knew that she was still stunning in her groom's eyes though, so it didn't matter to her what she was wearing.

He, of course, was attended by Ginny's husband, Draco Malfoy. Her groom was wearing black dress robes of course and he still managed to scowl but it made no difference to her.

Hermione's eyes wondered over to the seat that her mother should occupy. It was empty for her parent's had been killed near the end of her seventh year in one of the last Death Eater raids. But even though she wouldn't be walking down the aisle on her father's arm; everything was okay. After all, cruel as it may sound, it was her parent's death's that brought them so close together.

She was shaken out of her reverie by the starting of the music. As she headed down the aisle after Ginny, she looked into his deep, black eyes and saw the warmth there which he reserved only for her.

As she placed her hand into Severus Snape's pale, elegant one; she came to one realization…

Sometimes, reality can be better than any fantasy.

The End!

Wow, I can't believe I wrote that. I have been obsessed with HGSS for so long and I finally got up the guts to write a one-shot about them.

Well, review and lemme know what you think.
