Dark rain... thats all he could see. Why did it have to rain today... He had so many things to do, so many people to see... Including a very special boy who had caught his emerald green eyes Since he turned nine. Ahh... His best friend... how cliche... Shifting his weight off his broken leg Riku Mitsuki groaned, pain shot through and he bit his lower lip. God it hurt like hell... Why him! why did this happen to him!

There was a loud crash from the other room and a yell that made riku's heart skip a beat.

"LET ME SEE HIM! IS HE OK!"

That was followed by chocked sobs. Into the room came his worn out mother, asking in a slightly strained voice.

"Riku dear, sora's here to see you, may he come in?"

Riku nodded, smiling softly.

Everything had happened so fast, this was all he really wanted after such bad luck. You see riku had gotten into a car accident, as he had jumped out of the car like he was instructed to his leg had gotten caught between the smashing cars, tearing it open and fractioning it so much that part of it shattered. Riku had gotten over 16 stitches. 3 in his head, 4 in his arms and over ten covering the rest of his body. His face had gotten a little cut since he had covered it and his neck was saved too. He had been in the hospital for a month and a half before he had come into good enough health, no one but his family had seen him since.

Flash Back

Sephiroth smirked as he drove away form a huge college party, It seems riku hadn't noticed the smell of heavy alcohol, or something like that because he got in the car. It was midnight when they left, riku was too busy looking for his favorite picture of someone to notice the swerving or the fact that there were bright lights coming fast... All riku could do is open the door jumping out and... then it all went black. There was a scream... sirens, then he was in a coma.

end of flash back

"Oh riku!... oh riku I was so scared..."

Riku opened his sea green eyes, there in the door way was his best friend... Sora Harada... tears were visible on his red face. Eyes bloodshot and he trembled violently...

"I thought you died... Riku please don't ever do anything like that..."

The brunettes hair was plastered to his head from the rain and he stumbled over to riku's bed. Crawling in he cried into riku's chest.

"Sora...?"

Sora looked up fear was shown in his eyes as he told the boy back.

"No... Don't talk... riku... I need to tell you... I love you... I-I always have... please don't leave me..."

The silver haired bishi blinked his sore eyes before saying quietly.

"I love you too sora..."

Sora cried harder, his body racked with sobs. Riku held him in his arms, most of his body was healed by now and so riku could do this without pain. Lifting sora's head he kissed him sweetly on the lips. Sora melted, his crying was becoming softer as the sweet lingering embrace warmed him. Both boys were crying now, crying as they kissed each other so softly and warmly.

"I love you ... I love you too..."

Were the lovers words... Riku and sora both lay there, crying together yet their worlds were brightening. Later sora asked to stay over and was allowed. He never wanted to leave his poor Injured boyfriend alone. Riku didn't deserve this was his thought... and who knows... this may have been just what they needed... To let their love be known...
