MOURNING
I said we were not at risk.
She said she could not ignore evil.
I mentioned our researches.
She talked about defenseless primitives.
I said it was dangerous.
She said she was smart and would be cautious. She said that she would not present herself as a threat. She would teach, only. She said that the answer to religious enslavement was education. She said that they just needed a little help to begin. They were primitive, but had great potential.
She swore that she would return.
I swore that I would wait for her.
If I had gone with her...
