Chapter One
InuYasha looked up, smelling something strange. He looked around, seeing the sleeping Kagome, Miroku, and Sango. He took a firm hold of Tetseiga's sheathe, and pulled away the mat door. He sniffed the air again; this time, jumping on the roof of the hut. It was two hours after sunset. He glared at the moonless sky, furious that he could sense something strange and was cursed to go human on such a night. He knew he was losing his demonic powers, so he had to destroy whatever was around before they were completely gone for the night. He swore, and then noticed his hair was turning black. He had to find whatever was here and fast. He jumped down, and then felt his speed being diminished. He peered through the trees, using the last of his scent to find the being. He came to a dark cave. His curiosity taking control, he drew Tetseiga, which did not transform. Walking into the mist, a large green hand thrust out and grabbed him. He struggled to get free, dropping Tetseiga to the ground. A laugh came, and then, and then slithering out was none other than Naraku, starring and laughing at the defenseless InuYasha. He laughed.
"I see retch, that this is the night you turn human. I noticed something different." InuYasha pulled at Naraku's arm with is remaining claws.
"GET YOU FILTHY HANDS OFF OF ME!" InuYasha yelled, tearing away his hand. Falling to the ground, he gasped for breath.
BACK IN HUT
Kagome shuddered from a bad dream. Looking around, she didn't see InuYasha anywhere.
"Inuyasha!" She whispered, and then walked outside.
"Stupid InuYasha! How could you run off at a time like this!" She picked up her bow and followed the tracks until she came to see Naraku smiling his evil smile, holding InuYasha by his throat.
"Kagome…get away!" He yelled. "NARAKU!" She yelled angrily, and quickly strung an arrow and fired at him. InuYasha fell to the ground, for Naraku's reassembled hand had been blown to bits. InuYasha held his throat, gasping for breath. Kagome ran over to him, and then told him to sit. When it didn't work she helped him up. Naraku screamed over his cauterized arm, and slashed at the both of them. InuYasha grabbed Kagome, and they rolled out of the way.
"PERSITANT HUMANS!" Naraku yelled, thrusting another claw forward, this time, slashing through InuYasha's back. Crying out, tears came to Kagome's eyes. Blood dripped down his arm as he guarded Kagome. She got up and strung another arrow.
(so far, Kagome's kicking butt and inu is bad cause he is human and blah blah blah back to the story)
She released, and it missed. Scowling, she bent down and tried to help Inu up. He wiped blood from his face and stood in front of her. He then handed her Tetseiga's sheathe.
"It will protect you." She nodded, and took it. Inuyasha stood, ready for another attack. Naraku laughed, and starched another claw out and cut InuYasha's shoulder badly, blood spewing from it. He fell to the ground, holding the wound. Kagome gasped.
"I'm not even trying mongrel, DIE!" Just then, Naraku plunged forward at InuYasha.
