Bad Asses

By: Shadow of a Halo

Summary: One Shot. A conversation between Naruto and Konohamaru.

"Big bro, why can't you be more like Gaara!" Kohonamaru demanded spitefully. "He kicks so much butt…"

The fangirl boy got a far off look in his eye, as Naruto continued to walk the little one home. The two had spent the hot, dry day down by the river. Doing manly things, that they'll assure you…

And not playing like little girls with flowers and fickly trying not to get wet. No, not at all…

"Gaara?" Naruto said, opening his eyes, shining a beautiful cobalt blue. "Please, the guy just stands there and lets the sand do the work for him."

Naruto stopped and turned to the little boy. "Woo, look at me. I am just gonna sit here and let the earth kick your ass and still get credit." He imitated, moving as little as possible.

The little raven-haired boy looked away in concession, starting to walk once again. "Fine, then maybe Sasuke! Yeah, Sasuke!"

"What! The guy who claims to be so bad ass, but every time he enters a fight, he gets knocked out and I or someone else has to save his ass!" Naruto questioned indignantly.

"Huh?" Konohamaru replied stupidly.

"Please, even Sakura saved his ass once! He's not so bad ass..." Naruto stated in disgust.

"Fine then… Um, there's no one left!" Konohamaru declared, indignant once again.

"Hey, Konahamaru?" Naruto says, coming to a stop, halfway down the block.

"Hm?"

"Watch this, this is even more bad ass then Sasuke and Gaara will ever be." Naruto declared to the younger boy.

"Hm!" Konohamaru exclaimed loudly.

Waiting patiently for the little traffic to clear, the young, blond ninja crossed the street. A few minutes later, the blond returned to the Konahamaru's side of the street.

"What was that…?" The raven-haired boy questioned confused.

"Look," Naruto said pointing to the corner on his left. "Crosswalk down there, crosswalk right there. That's j-walking."

Konahamaru stared at the blond, who stared back. Shaking his head, Konahamaru smiled and continued on. Naruto stayed where he was, a slight smile playing on his face.

"You know, may be you have a point…" Konahamaru said, not looking back.

"Believe it."

A/N: Had to add the 'believe it.' Heh. C'mon, admit it, it fits. :) Anyway, hoped you like it.
