Of Little Importance

By: Cliff Zingler

"You're a hypocrite! You're a rotten, no good hypocrite!"

"Well, what about you, Miss High-and-Mighty! May I get you some Corellian Ale? Or how about something a little stronger… like some acid!" he shouted right back at her, his face reddening by the second. He hit the bedroom door violently.

"Why you… you're so… infuriating!" she screamed as her fingers dug into her long, braided hair, tresses falling out of the intricate hairstyle.

I can't stand him when he's like this… I can hardly stand him at all!

"Forgive me, your highnessness, for being so infuriating, but I'm not the only one here!" He pointed at his chest. She stopped pacing back and forth, placing her hands defiantly on her hips.

"And whose fault is that, you think!" she hissed, her brown eyes staring up angrily into his own. Luckily, the children were fast asleep and oblivious to the rising voices.

"What? So you're saying that I'm the one to blame for all this nonsense, your highnessness?" he bellowed, laughing bitterly.

"Yes. And will you please – stop – calling – me – that!" she groaned loudly.

"Stop calling you what?" he leaned in close enough to whisper.

"Highnessness?"

"ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!"

He held her hands steady, protecting himself from her flying Claws of Doom.

Claws of Doom. Heh. Has a nice ring to it.

"You know, you're so cure when you're angry like this," he murmured, making her freeze.

"You pig headed bantha! Don't you try sweet talking me out of – "

Too late.

Her protests ceased abruptly as his lips pressed upon hers. Silence.

He slowly, almost unwillingly, unattached his lips from hers, chuckling at her half closed eyelids.

"Han, I…" He placed a finger on her lips to silence her.

"Shh… You don't have to apologize this time," he teased. Her eyes suddenly flared up once again. Oh, how much he loved this.

"I wasn't going to apologize, you pig! I was going to… Mhmmmhm!" she was cut off yet again by his bruising lips.

"Can it, princess," he growled hoarsely in between kisses, taking her in his arms.

The light rays of dawn were finally beginning to settle as the two lay in bed together in quiet ecstasy. They toyed with one another's hands, taking great pleasure in the peaceful silence.

"Still mad at me, Your Highness?" he grinned, leaning over on his side to get a better view of her. She smiled warmly.

"Of course not, Han. I don't even understand why we get so mad at each other so much," she sighed as she lay closer to him, closing the empty space between them.

"Well," he began pompously, "I suppose I'll just have to make you angry a lot more, now, won't I?"

She glared at him for a moment.

"Shut up and kiss me, you nerfherder."
