A/N: A simple request made by a friend on an LJ fanfic community, trezure. Her request was a fic about Fai and Sakura in a petshop. Tsubasa isn't mine, but sometimes I wish it was.

It was during their stay in Outo Country that they'd found the small shop one lazy afternoon. What was supposed to be a quick peek inside the tiny pet store had turned into something much more.

The sounds of "mews" and "meows" could be heard all throughout the store as a carefree Fai and Sakura poked at the glass of the display cages that held in several small kittens. A few timid kittens pawed at the glass tentatively, bringing out another soft "meow" from Fai. Sakura giggled quietly when the kitten tilted its head in confusion.

At the same time, Kurogane and Syaoran were lingering outside of the store, Kurogane nothing but a mass of impatience and Syaoran having to remind himself that this was making Princess Sakura happy.

"Look, Sakura-chan," said Fai as he pointed to the back of the display case. "That kitten, it's so cute and shy, just like you, 'Little Kitty'!"

Sakura smiled and pointed to another kitten in the litter and compared the "Big Kitty" to Fai.

Kurogane overheard their musings from the doorway of the store and scoffed, still angry over the whole mess with pseudonyms in this world. He would never forgive Fai for naming him "Big Doggie". Never.

It was then that Fai appeared in front of Kurogane much to his surprise, holding out a black, medium-sized dog in his outstretched arms. With a bright smile on his face, he said, "Look, Kuro-woofy, this one is a 'Big Doggie' like you. I wish to name it after you!"

In the moments that followed, Syaoran was able to save the poor dog and return it to the pet shop owner before Kurogane began to chase after Fai, yelling loudly about the proper way to address him instead of this "doggie" nonsense and how they were never stopping into that store again.
