Once a Thousand Gone

A thousand embraces

Suspended on silver wings

Where have they gone?
My memories of you
Have you left me forever?
I miss your embrace
I miss the words you said to me

The love we shared
For all that time we loved
I just wanted to be with you

I was lost in your kiss
You held me up
You took me for who I was
In your eyes I was lost
Let us fly away on silver wings

And now you're gone
Long since dead to my world
Will you ever return?
Have you left me forever?
I miss your love

We fought, we cried, we shared
And then I let you slip loose
How could I let you slip loose?
Regret will consume me in darkness
Come back, my thousand cares

A thousand words
