Can you hear the angels crying
On this dark and lonely day?
Can you see we all are dying?
Did we have to go this way?
Why couldn't I have saved her?
I thought we had a chance
We're about to meet our maker
It's all just like a trance
I guess this is the final fight
But somehow I know
Everything's all right
But why is it now
That peace is here?
Why is it now
When death is so near?
I think it's just that I have nothing left to fear
It's over
We haven't won
All our lives had just begun
So why is the mood so serene?
It's just the strangest thing
To see us all falling away
And I have no idea what to say
Except I believe
Everything's okay
