Drumming her fingers against the desk, Elliot Reid waited impatiently for one of the nurses, and also her friend, Carla Espinosa, to show up. Elliot could hardly contain her excitement. She desperatedly wanted to talk to Carla about something that she felt embarressed talking to her fellow guy interns about.

Nothing you could say can tear me away from my guy
Nothing you could do 'cause I'm stuck like glue to my guy
I'm stickin to my guy like a stamp to a letter
Like birds of a feather - we - stick together
I will tell you from the start I can't be torn apart from my guy ...

Blushing just thinking about it, Elliot turned around and tried to stay cool, but things only got worse when one of her fellow colleuges, Dr. Perry Cox, came striding down the corridor. Mortified, Elliot spun around and hoped that he wouldn't notice her.

Nothing you can do could make me untrue to my guy
Nothing you could buy could make me tell a lie to my guy
I gave my guy my word of honor to be faithful and i'm gonna
you best be believing I won't be deceiving my guy ...

Meanwhile, Cox was glancing around absently whilst heading down the corridor. He caught sight of a young girl with her back to him standing at the counter. She was blonde, very blonde. Having no doubt that It was Elliot, he headed over to her and clamped a hand onto her shoulder. Elliot reeled back in surprise and turned around. Seeing Cox, she frowned. "Okay, so what the hell did you do that for?" She said indignantly, folding her arms. Cox laughed.

As a matter of opinion I think he's tops
My opinion is he's the cream of the crop
As a matter of taste to be exact
He's my ideal as a matter of fact ...

"It's okay Barbie, I was just wondering why you were loitering about over here and not doing your job?" He enquired, grinning at her. Elliot scowled. "I was waiting for Carla." She murmered, not looking at him. Cox raised an eyebrow. "To talk about what?" He asked, glancing at her. Elliot hesitated, "Just um, what we were doing after work today." She said after a few moments. Cox laughed again.

No muscle bound man could take my hand from my guy
No handsome face could ever take the place of my guy
He may not be a movie star but when it comes to being happy we are
There's not a man today who could take me away from my guy ...

"Well, alright," He said, "I don't know where she is. Well, I guess she'll be along in a while." He patted her on the back and grinned, "Bye, Barbie." And then, without another word, he walked off in the other direction. Elliot was confused. Why was he being so nice to her? Usually, he thought of her as an incompetent intern and bossed her around, monitoring her every move. So what was going on? And why was her heart fluttering whenever she saw him?

There's not a man today,
Who could take me away,
From my guy ...

Elliot took a step forward and paused, pursing her lips. Cox came past, skipping down the halls like a demented lunatic. But that didn't matter. He was always being like this. Nothing had changed. She wondered how long It would take for him to realise how she was feeling. Elliot knew it was only a matter of time. Sighing and deciding to come back later, she trudged off in the other direction, turning over thoughts in her mind.

There's not a man today,
Who could take me away,
From my guy ...
