"Ardeth, don't give me that." Rick said holding him by the scruff of the neck.

"Rick, I'm sorry - I cannot undo what was happen -" Ardeth Bey was cut short by the call of a horn. He recognized that horn. He pushed from Rick as fast as he could and ran out of the tent resting beside the Great Pyramid. "What is going on?" Ardeth said to the boy on the horse.

"There is a fight .. By the oasis! Kathifa-Kesi is there Ardeth! She's there, fighting!" The boy said jumping off the tall horse and running up to the tall man.

"Kathifa - Kes ... Get me my horse! My sword! Everything!" Ardeth shouted.

"You can't just leave!" Evelyn said running out from the tent and grabbing onto Ardeth's leg as he jumped onto the horse. "You've got to help us get -"

"Not now, Evelyn!" He said tightening his belt with his sword clasped tightly in his hand.

"What's going on?" Alex, who had grown up quite a bit since you have last seen him, said coming out of the tent.

"You can't leave us Ardeth! We have to get this back to the Temple of Ra before something goes Kaboom like last time!" Rick said with a clap of his hands, motioning the 'kaboom'.

"I will explain this when I get back!" Ardeth said quickly. "Hya!" He said kicking the horse's gut and it reared and took off into the desert sands. Fighting the blazing sun he sped the horse up, staring through the sandstorm as best he could.

His daughter was out there, somewhere. Fighting madly for her life. His Warrior Woman. His daughter. He loved her dearly. Her twin sister, betrayed them both.

Nefertiri, the stupid little bitch had left them for dead to flee for her own life. They had both hated her more now. Nefetiri, small little child, brittle, and breakable. They had both hoped she'd snap in two.

Kathifa-Kesi. The Warrior Child. Daughter of the sword, fighting for peace in the ancient and present worlds. Her hair, long and auburn, always tied up in the headband she wore. Her arms cut open and covered in a black cloak. Her legs, strong and full of bruises. She truly was a warrior.

Her father adored her for it. Everything about his child he adored.

There was a loud scream. Ardeth pulled the reins of the horse, making it turn with such haste it nearly fell to the ground. He kicked the horse, hard and it sped off into the distance towards the scream. He searched for it. He looked.

"Sudi you bastard!" She cried out in pain. There was a gash along her stomach, deep and painful.

"What Kathifa? Did you think we would just leave you here to suffer? No. We'll kill you before that happens." Nekhbet said smirking. Sudi knelt down and smiled.

"Such a delicate desert flower." He said stroking Kathifa-Kesi's chin. She went to bite him and his arm shot back. "A desert cobra, pardon me." He said.

"Leave me here!" Kathifa snapped at them.

"What, so you can get away?" Nekhbet said, slyly.

"No. So I won't have to kill you." Ardeth said from behind him. Nekhbet turned around and fell down at the sword pointed to his face. "Leave, now." He said sternly.

Nekhbet and Sudi got up and scrambled to their horses as fast as they could. "Father!" Kathifa said quickly when Ardeth jumped off his horse and ran to her side.

"Kat, my dear, are you alright?" He said pulling her up beside him.

"I'll be fine." She said taking a deep breath and straightening the fabric of her clothing over her wound.

"My little warrior.." He said brushing hair away from her face. "My darling, you are hurt."

"I will be fine, father." She said pushing her sword into it's sheith.

"I am taking you back with me. You are going to let Evie take a look at your stomach." He said touching her stomach lightly.

"But father -"

"Don't, Kat. I am telling you, not asking you." He said pulling his horse to her. "Get on." He said helping her up. He jumped behind her and took the riens.
