"Elena!"
"G-go!"
Reno yelled into his headset as Elena and Tseng's screams filled his ears.
"Tseng! Elena! Say something!"
"Reno... just get out of here. That's an order."
The red head gritted his teeth, reluctantly turning the helicopter around and speeding off towards Healin Lodge to give Rufus the spoils of their investigation.
That stupid little box had probably cost Elena and Tseng their lives.
'At least they were together... Elena never did get that dinner date she was promised, did she.'
He was heavy hearted as he handed Rufus the box, his trusted partner in crime Rude standing faithfully by their bosses' side.
"Thank you Reno. Your achievement today has proved your worth for many other things."
Reno nodded, mumbling a quiet "yes sir".
That's when Rude immediately knew there was something wrong.
"Where's Elena and T-"
The bodyguard never got to finish that particular sentence, because within seconds he was on the floor, writhing in pain.
His red headed companion gave up more of a fight to Kadaj, but joined Rude on the floor just as painfully only a few minutes later.
He gasped for breath, his back arching painfully against the floor.
Who draed attack the Turks?
"Hn, what a shame. Your "fine warriors" go down easily." Kadaj sneered, and out of the corner of his eye, Rude saw two bloodstained ID's fall to the floor by Rufus' wheelchair.
Elena and Tseng's IDs.

Elenatried not to cry -she
A rookie, but still a Turk.
Crying was high on the list of "things-you're-not-allowed-to-do-until-you-get-home".
But with open bullet wounds draining away her life energy, she didn't have much choice.
The first tear fell.
Tseng, who was only slightly less wounded than her, was helping her walk to the Forgotten Capital.
He hated to see any of his Turks distressed, and wondered if they were going to make it.
Make it where? Where were they going? The Forgotten Capital didn't have anyone there that could help them.
Tseng had no clue, and he was pretty sure Elena didn't know either.
The two "legendary" Turks would die together.
"At least... Re got Jenova..." his blonde companion gasped, trying her hardest not to show her pain.
The dark haired Turk sat against a nearby tree trunk, holding his rookie close.
"I still owe you dinner." he smirked half heartedly. "Don't die on me just yet"
He buried his face in her hair - a very random act of kindness from the toughest Turk in Shinra - and closed his eyes.
Perhaps for the last time.
Elena's arms unconciously wrapped around Tseng, and soon her eyes closed too, her cheeks still stained with tears.

Vincent slowly walked through the forest of rotted trees, the peeling bark almost an eerie comfort to him.
Almost immediately, he knew something was amiss here - blood stained the usually deep white snow, making it glow weirdly in the little light the moon provided.
The ex-Turk's pace quickened, the blood becoming more and more common as the path dragged on.
Something dead - or near death - was nearby, he knew it.
A few more steps revealed it to be human blood, and Vincent was starting to get rather anxious.
Two black clad figures curled up by the roots of a tree eventually came into view around a curve in the track, and Vincent ran over to them.
His old comrade, Tseng.
And... that girl Turk. Elena, was it?
Vincent knew what to do.
