Draco walked over the window of his home, his owl flapping it's wings heavily trying to stay a float outside the glass pane. Opening the window, the bird swooped inside, flying to it's perch where it uncerimoniously dropped it's bundle for today. Sighing, Draco ran a slender hand through his blonde hair, bending down to grab the stack of miscellaneous papers. Sighing, he shifted through the bills and grabbed the Daily Prophet.
Moving back to settle down in his most comfortable chair, he resumed drinking his small cup of tea. Flipping out the paper, he read the title. b Harry Potter Weds Youngest Weasley! /b stood out, the simple catchy title of the article causing his cup to slip from his hands. He didn't even register the burning liquid seeping through his clothes to his skin. The physical pain was nothing compared to the hollow pain now filling his chest. i Married? Since when did... Since when did Potter even have a girlfriend? /i
True, he hadn't seen or even really heard about Potter for years now since he'd been living in France after the war, but this was a shock to him. i I should have know Potter would end up with the Weaselette. /i Draco sneered slightly at the thought. His fingers were trembling as he looked at the picture of a smiling Ginny and a bashful Harry walking together with intwined arms. His heart panged slightly in his chest, but he chose to ignore that small inner nudge.
The fact that he still felt the same ache everytime he thought of Potter afterward didn't really mean anything, right?
