The Gilmore Girls Curse

Everyone who ever met Rory Gilmore thought she was headed for great things. Some people are born with a future of greatness and of achievements and Lorelei Leigh Gilmore was on of those people. Some say it was because of the sacrifices her own young mother made that created this future for her daughter, and others simply said it was just what was meant to be. Nobody believed this more than Rory's own mother, Lorelei Gilmore.

As a baby, Rory had looked up with her big blue eyes and she adored her mother. Lorelei could be a basket case and almost to the point of breaking and wanting to go back to her parents house in Hartford, but with one tinny glance from a baby with black hair and big blue eyes, Lorelei knew she could continue on. Rory was her life line, and she needed to protect her baby girl. Christopher was almost never in the picture, and so she had to do it on her own.

As the years passed, the sacrifices that Lorelei made, created a bond between mother and daughter that no one could destroy. Lorelei and Rory came from a weird coffee covered branch, and they were proud of it. No one would suspect that the greatness everyone expected Rory to create and possess would go up in smoke with one phone call. A phone call made to Lorelei, letting her know that her daughter was in jail for stealing a yacht. A Yacht! It seemed that it had jumped to this unknown place, and no one knew how to get back.

Rory left school, lived in her grandparent's pool house and became estranged from her mother. Lorelei didn't speak to her daughter and silently at night she would worry and cry for her baby. She had done everything she could for Rory, and it was thrown in her face the minute she decided to steal the boat, and the minute she chose the Hartford society over her mother.

Everyone could see that both Gilmore girls were in pain. Lorelei acted like nothing was wrong, but every time anyone mentioned her daughter's name, Lorelei would feel a rush of pain and betrayal and worse of all regret. Rory was so into her own problems that she didn't see what was going on in front of her.

You see, Rory from the minute she heard the disparaging words of the Huntsbergers mouths, became a different person. Even if that is possible some may say. She began to try to prove herself as a worthy Gilmore. Putting much of her worth in her name and not her actions. She began to make herself into something Logan and the LDB would want. People she was born to associate with have rejected her, and she wanted to prove to all that she was worth their time. Along the way, Rory became someone completely different, but it wasn't noticeable until she committed her first felony.

Logan Huntsberger was everything a rich spoiled boy was. He was cocky and believed he had no responsibility for his actions. He was simply an overindulged ignored child. A classic case, and he became an overindulged adult who surrounded himself with adoring fans. Anyone who had lived the life and walked away could see it; maybe that's why Lorelei could see it. But the minute Logan came into Rory's life that was the final nail in the coffin.
