Notes: Book Title/First Sentence Challenge. Used Pelican Brief, by John Grisham as the first line of the drabble. But I've change a "he" for a "she" to fit with Janet, hope it's alright.
He seemed incapable of creating such chaos, but much of what she saw below could be blamed on him.
She knew from the beginning that eight years old child was the only one responsible for what Daniel had become. That heartless man who killed millions of people in Moscow, it wasn't her Daniel. That wasn't the Daniel she knew and loved. That man would have never betrayed his friends, and never kept her against her will.
Her Daniel was sweet, tender, and he loved all people.
Contemplating the chaos in the city under her, she cursed that kid, for the thousandth time.
