Soft, whispering winds blew about the moonlit midnight sky, illuminating the calm desert oasis with a pearl white glow. Such a small place in the wastelands of the desert sands would be a wild dream to people, reploid and human alike... However, for the two figures enjoying the spoils around them, if it was a dream, they would wish for nothing more than to remain in it for the rest of their days.

Zero sat at the edge of the large pool of water, a single armored leg lingering in the shimmering water, softly swinging to and fro in a content manor. "Its so strange..." He pondered, watching his aquamarine love cut through the water like a angel would in the sky. "To feel such a peaceful calm... Even now, I thought I could never experience this... That I was never meant for it..." He lowered his head, pondering the many adventures and battles that he had been through in his form... Within his memories... Only to be interrupted by the strong tugging on his red armored leg.

It was humorous, seeing the mighty Zero being pulled into the water so easily. Leviathan couldn't help but let out a gleeful chuckle, watching his head pop out of the liquid, her long legs making casual kicks to stay afloat, her specialty making it even easier for her for her to maneuver through and stay afloat in the water then for others. Droplets splattering about, he shook some of the water from his face and hair, a human trait that he had gained from being around the humans for so long. He wiped down his face with his right hand, blinking for a moment at her before he glared at her, a grin appearing on his face that resembled the one held from his previous life.

One who could've been watching, if they had memories of the old reploid wars, would've said that it was the old Zero, come back from the past as he jumped the aquamarine reploid, a single yelp escaping from her lips before she was taken under. The area grew still for a moment, the sounds of the winds moving the sands and leaves the only things that broke the silence... Until the water broke with a loud splash, Zero with his arms around Leviathan's back, squeals and laughter bubbling from her as they both moved about in the water.

It ended soon enough though, the water becoming still again as they remained there. They made no motion to kiss, each others' presence more than enough for them both, as Zero hugged her closer to him. For a moment, nothing else mattered... Not the Rebellion, not the Resistance... Simply the two of them... And although they may end up upon the battlefield against one another, they reveled in the moments they could see one another.
