There it was again.
Another glance, another smile, another laugh.
All causing another tingle down her spine.
She knew she shouldn't have been feeling that, but she couldn't stop. It was hopeless. She had tried, but it had been pointless.
She couldn't stop feeling that way, and she wasn't sure if she even wanted to.
Love is a wonderful thing, even if it wasn't shared.
Love is an amazing thing, even if she couldn't tell him.
Love is spectacular.
To her, it had always seemed like a myth, something that didn't seem real. She had never experienced it before, and her parents hadn't expressed it much.
It had seemed like a myth; a fake out. Something that had been written about and sung about so much that people believed it to be true. People merely pretended it was love; convinced that it was by songs and movies.
She had hoped it to be real, but as time had passed she had become more and more uncertain. She had been with quite a few; had once almost believed it was true, almost made a horrible mistake. A loveless marriage was something she had witnessed. It wasn't something she wanted to go through. But she had thought it was loving, until she had suddenly realised it wasn't; realised and ran. Not until he had come along had she felt the big L.
Love.
It was an amazing thing, a feeling that ate her up inside, causing both pain and happiness at the same time.
Looking at him made her heart ache, but she didn't dare complain.
Love is a hard thing to come by, and to finally have it was not something she wanted to complain about.
Love is watching his lips curve as he said her name.
Watching him take a drink of his coffee, savouring the taste for a single moment; a scene made more fulfilling by the fact she had made the coffee.
Watching him when no one suspected; no one knew.
Love is her secret place; some where she could retreat to when her low paying job drove her crazy. When her unloving family were driving her up the wall, she just had to think of those two words.
Love is.
An amazing thing.
To have it with him was even more amazing.
Love is the only thing that kept her sane, yet at the same time, made her lose her mind.
To be so confused and so alive was fantastic.
And she had him to thank for it, even though she could never say it. They had only known each other for a short time, and it just seemed impossible that he would feel the same way.
He wasn't perfect; he had his flaws. He was aware of those flaws, and even thought they were worse then they actually were.
She doubted he had ever been in love; his parents may have screwed him up too much for that, as most parents do. Perhaps he even thought that love was a myth, just like she had.
But she didn't believe that anymore.
Not since meeting him.
Not since falling for him.
The big L had come alone and it hurt her; but it was a pain that she accepted happily.
She had been sure that it wasn't real; that it didn't exist.
Till the day he had entered her life and forced her to think twice.
She was thankful for that, because love was and is a spectacular thing.
Love is.
Unrequited.
Fulfilling.
Perfection.
Real.
There is was again.
Another glance, another smile, another laugh.
Another tingle down her spine.
